OHHH I WOULD READ THE HEK OUT OF THIS-
it puts a spin on everything I love it!! It basically includes hanakai, hybrids, possible body dysmorphia, etc etc Arghhhh.
Imagine the first batch of people plagued with the bigger animal features. At first, maybe the most that was happening was peopleâs pupils changing, sharper nails, canine teeth pointer, etc. But then someone in the group has excruciating back pains for days, people theorize that itâs a new form of affection, a different âturningâ. You are potentially isolated and in pain, kept safe, but kept away out of fear. Only for days later⌠Feathers. Wings. The pain not infection, but something else, something different.
How do you navigate that? A whole new set of limbs, unknown how to care for them, use them, navigate life with them. Suddenly shirts have long holes at the back of them, the extra fabric donated to makeshift patches with. Suddenly you have to deal with shedding feathers? Donât even get started with cleaning.
And stuff like this sprouting all over in different communities. Someone gets wings, while another person has to deal with these sharp headaches, only to have small nubs forming out of their skull. But the nubs donât stop growing. they grow into antlers. Suddenly, doorways are in inconvenience, tents have holes ripped into them, you are forced to either make a taller tent (ill advised due to an over-use of resources) or sleep outside. Outcasted in a way.
Satyrs become reality. Different old religious groups view certain hybrids as callings at first. Tails are used as an extra useful limb. People testing if they can fly with newfound wings. Claws being an inconvenience with accidentally cutting cloth, fabrics, and everything in sight. Daily dulling of claws became a thing. People fearing parts of themselves theyâll have to learn to accept. Aaaaa the possibilities are endless.
Mother Earth reclaiming her home⌠the zombies can sense the anger, distrust, greed. The negative emotions that was causing the death of Earth all those years ago. Suddenly kids are growing up being taught that negative emotions are taboo, that peace was all there ever could be and all you could ever know.
People pick out their favourite flowers at an early age. A sudden death could mean a sudden need for a special case blooming ceremony. In the early ages, the sight of blooming children in the midst of the zombies ranks were heartbreaking, but not rare.
The thought of the natural animals not only benefitting but also changing due to the resurgence of nature. Suddenly animals which were once on the brink of extinction, are flourishing. Nature takes over every part of both the natural, and man-made. Turtles supporting ecosystems, deer antlers housing plants bearing fruit, vines snaking up and down the structures. Mutualism and symbiotic relationships are the norm now. Animals who were once small grow into record breaking heights and sizes. With a lack of weed-killers, dandelions cover every widespread flat area of grass during this season. Placing highly populated with dandelions call this a name probablyyyy. Im just stupid when it comes to names but uhh *insert yellow season or smth taht sounds cool*
Also the nickname potential for communities in this world is awesome to think abt. Like, oh okay you have sunflowers sprouting out of your skull seemingly growing in your hair. You just are going to have a sunflower themed nickname, thats just the truth.
With the rise of vegetarians/veganism (plants are superrr easy to find and cultivate now, and killing animals has the chance of a rise in emotions like anger if you miss a shot or smth, which results in infection) plant knowledge is widespread and taught even before the abcâs or writing. With the rise of edible plants obviously comes with the rise of toxic and poisonous organisms, and the last thing any parent wants is their child wandering a little too far and eating a bad mushroom .-.
dudeeee the art potential this has. A colour take over sounds so fun :3
ALSO ALSO! IMAGINE MAKING LIKE âwhat if my oc was in this worldâ DESIGNS :DD like, imagining what certain characters would look like in this fun apocalyptic world.
Also the angst potentialll. So many hanakai equivalents⌠And imagine losing a child, a friend, a comrade, a lover. Seeing them as a blooming in the hoards. Each flower dressed zombie tells a story. A story that they were once just like you, and they were loved. T-T
Imagine like, at the start of this whole thing, when zombies were still seen kinda ad âthe evilâ. And like, someoneâs child/lover got infected⌠And then came the uprise of the florist movement. They showed how the infection could take people dear to you, not just people who were angry or greedy. And then the people who lost someone super close to them dedicate the rest of their lives to starting the Florist movement and protecting communities and hoardes.
Iâd like to imagine there are little places in the depths of run-down cities, so overgrown you couldnât tell what it once was, where florists become one with the Earth again. Kind of like their equivalent to a cemetery. These places have the most beautiful stunning blossoms all in one place. Breathtaking places honestly. The sacrifice they made, dedicating their lives to a cause, and now they get to give back to the Earth, even in their non-mobile state. <33
Okay I could actualky yap abt this forever because I have SO MANY THOUGHTS butttt Im going to stop here and potentially pick it back up sooon :3
