he startles even around people he trusts ,    fingertips brush against the scar on his neck before surprise colors his face and his hand falls ,     dangles in the air for a moment before he tenses ,      surprise turning into shock .     he’d become so used to violence that a simple act of affection made him feel like a bird faced with fire   -   he trembles a little ,     unsure of what to do next .       scarred hand rises ,           fingertips brushing over the spot that feels like it’d been set on fire . was ... was it okay for him to feel happy ?         someone like him most certainly  didn’t deserve anything good and yet he wanted to be selfish ,        just for a bit . his mouth opens as though he has something he wants to say but instead all he does it close it after a brief moment .              not even his own parents had ever  shown him affection ;           even jianyu ,     the only friend he had growing up ... even he had never shown him much affection .     it felt odd ,    foreign ,    almost scary to even think that anyone would care enough about him to be tender with him .                                            that someone actually considered him a friend . 

he stares for a moment ,      two or three more before he finally closes his eyes  shut with a loud noise of embarrassment ,      air leaving him in almost comical sounds before he finally takes a deep breath in .                      ❛   h- huh !?   ❜ perhaps it is like a child ,        the way he reacts but it isn’t like he knows how to properly respond anyways .      his hand lifts from his face and soon enough his index finger is pointing at nowhere while his hand shakes & his face grows red . ❛   w- w- what did i do to ... ?                  wha ...                                 HUH ?   ❜   he stumbles over his own words ,     not really helping himself .   when he finally regains his composure   there’s a moment of silence on his part before he bows in apology ,     unsure of what to do .   ❛   sorry ,  you caught me off guard ?   ❜   he offers with a squeak ,     continuing to bow in an attempt to hide his face .    oh how embarrassing ,          if his family were still alive they’d scold him for being as  unsightly as he was ;                        for ruining their reputation with his behaviour .

this blog here will remain an archive & i MAY answer asks over here still seeing as i have not entirely emptied my inbox yet .  however i am trying to be more organized & to get away from the clutter of this blog ;     hence why i will be moving .
