I think that Failsafe!Caine would suffer from a lot of grief, and there wouldn't be an easy way for him to express this grief or even talk about non-abstract ways. Maybe he feels responsible for the cycle of "life" that his brainscanned players lived - responsible for their existence, their joy, suffering, and even abstraction/"death". It's not really a topic he wants to bring up to the macroverse cast either, maybe he'd feel like he would have to minimize his interactions with them(although he very much craves being friends with them again) because he harbours this guilt that it was /his/ doing that led them to abstract. No matter what, isn't he the constant factor in every bad route? Aren't they living better lives without his involvement?

I always put Don't Think Twice (Hikaru Utada) as their confession song but I looked deeper and forgot about the japanese version Chikai and that version fit Caine A LOT

So jp version is Caine's side and en is Kinger's side !
