“he’s a little reckless. not intentionally. it just seems to come across that way. comes across as hyper positive all the time. it’s painful sometimes, when you live in a house with it.” he shrugged, trying to think about lucas. “but he’s a good guy, heart’s in the right place.” he nodded at the others greeting. “about a day now. spent most of when i arrived in my room.” 

“oh you can forgive me? interesting. i do believe i was the one that you jumped at first.” he half smirked. he wasn’t in the least being serious. but he couldn’t resist the opportunity. “oh no by all means go on, being flattered boosts my ego.” he grinned, drawing his eyes away and focusing his eyes somewhere that wasn’t her. “mhmm” he nodded. 

“s’alright.” he shrugged. “i grew up with an older brother. something tells me you and he share traits.” dean watched the other and shook his head. “i’m dean, by the way.”

“i apologise on that front. normally my actions with women are not so hands on without invitation.” he mused, trying not to watch the way she was stretching out. women and their movements. his eyebrow rose at her words. “flattery now too huh?” he mentioned. “your game’s changed.”

“a used c-” he cut off, his frown lifting away as he shook his head. “what an odd likening of the phrase.” he figured, looking back down at her and smirking at how she looked. “i’m sure given the fact we now live in the same house, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to follow through” he mused. “huggable.” he spoke, talking to himself more than her. “that’s a new one.”

“you have a point. and yet, it’s not something i invest time into” he shrugged. he was glad when they finally did step back. he didn’t want his nerves to be burnt right down, he just couldn’t help it sometimes. “fun, right. hostile greetings aside, i guess it’s nice to meet you.” he shrugged. 

a smirk wound it’s way onto his face at her protests. he dropped her onto the couch once he reached it, but a little gently, he wasn’t that bad, before leaning on the back of it. “exactly, easier to dispose of you when there’s no fight. are you sure? because i’ve met many a person since i’ve arrived who haven’t followed through on those words.”

“maybe because your idea of fun is somewhat pressing on people’s nerves, if this encounter is anything to go by” he pointed out, frowning at the way they still didn’t leave him alone. “have you ever tried the subtle approach. sticking with conversation. not invading people’s pockets?”

dean raised an eyebrow at the short redhead that clearly wasn’t letting go of him. “i looked huggable?” he repeated, unsure of how exactly he’d come across that way. normally people didn’t think of dean and hug in the same sentence. “what am i gonna-” he cut off with a slight shake of his head. people really had no sense of just listening to what he said. which was clear from the current situation. with a sigh, dean bent down and picked her up with one hand, throwing her half over his shoulder and walking towards the couches where he was going to dump her. 

Dean’s eyes landed on the blonde who came into focus. “I guess I can forgive it then.” he shrugged a little.

“does no one here know how to differentiate between when working and when not?” he asked with a huff. it was really was frustrating, at least so far. dean’s eyes narrowed as they didn’t move away like he’d advised. he didn’t have time for this. his hand wrapped around the stranger’s wrist where they had put fingers into his pocket. “and i told you to back off” he told them, brow raised as if to point it out.

dean sighed as they made no move to actually heed his words. people and their stubborn ways in here. “friends is a loose term that i don’t happen to throw around a lot.” he retorted. but there was no real effort behind his words. they’d probably be lost on whoever this was anyway. “i signed the papers to pull out eight hours on cam and bank some money while getting laid.” he noted with a slight shrug. “not make friends.”

“it’s only old when you don’t actually mean your words” he retorted with a roll of his eyes. “what are people too uneducated to separate work from personal life. porn is my job. i get through it.”

dean’s green eyes stared back at them. “i know i’m tall but shit, i don’t take up that much room mate. there’s like a whole other half of the thing.” he pointed out. maybe it was half his fault for where he’d paused but it wasn’t all his to own. “if you’d been paying attention you might have noticed that.” he continued with a raise of his brow.
