The room was softly lit and decadent, tastefully furnished like the offices Junichirou has seen in movies; it looked like Port Mafia didn’t stint when it came to their comfort. And they certainly had the money for it. He wondered how much the Executives made in a month and decided it was probably more figures than he’d ever see in a whole year.
Seated behind the desk was a young man with red hair–darker than Junichirou’s own ginger, it almost shone in the dimness of the room and Junichirou felt the man knew this and knew exactly how he drew attention to himself.
The man was focused on a pile of papers in front of him, pressing his seal onto some of them with almost mechanical precision. Junichirou took a deep breath.
‘Good morning. I’m Tanizaki Junichirou,’ he said, hoping he didn’t sound as nervous as he felt. ‘I’ll be working with the Port Mafia from now on.’

He didn’t need to look up to know who the stranger was. He had specifically sought out this teenager due to the reports on some “promising” infiltration ability that he had received from some of his reconnaissance members. He had meant to increase his assassination team after an almost failed-attempt to rid of one particularly nasty politician who paid for the very best security non-ability users and ability users alike, so this boy’s ability was almost a blessing.
Honestly, he was a bit curious as to how easily his invitation was accepted, but that was a question for another time.
Chuuya continued to stamp some dates on a few of the documents at his desk sealing the reports forever into the Mafia’s Information Bureau. “It’s good to have you here,” He placed one more document on top of a neat pile and then chose to look up at the boy with a scrutinizing gaze.
“I admit, you’re not exactly what I imagined you to look like.” Chuuya made a lopsided grin as he scanned the boy’s lanky figure. “I would think someone with your ability would look a lot more...confident.”
