I honestly wish JoeDoughBoi actually used the fact Kylie is trans for the horror involving her character. I know its really early on in the story and all, but so far the most done with her character is the same song and dance as every other vessel with just the laziest trans based body horror thrown in. (I'm trans fyi) What if everything Lord X said in Beauty to lure her in was a lie? Like he gets her on board, makes her feel all nice n good, and then puts her in a male vessel. Being trans and the fear of not fitting in your body even as you undergo/have undergone HRT and the knowledge that achieving a body that matches with your brain's gender is something that never ends like most forms of self-improvement is a fear I assure you a majority of transgender people feel, and iirc Kylie's already undergone a transition (at least from art of her as a human I've seen that i think JDB drew) so imagine the terror and depression she'd feel if she basically ended up back at square one! Because really, why does Lord X put her in a gender affirming body? Its not even really a 'careful what you wish for' thing because he was always going to put her in his torment game regardless of her vessel's gender, have him be a twisted asshole who makes her feel dumb for thinking she could trust him. But I guess that would be an actual interesting form of horror that would make sense for the characters involved, make Kylie actually likeable and sympathetic, and make Lord X feel uniquely evil.

The lack of understanding of these two characters in this confession is so upsetting to me, they're both so cool and well written imo and this just misses all of it.
