Character: Flora Open to: All Time/ Setting: Modern Day, Antique Shop

It had been a very slow day working in her Uncle’s Antique Shop, and Flora had set about dusting the shelves and objects that adorned them. She had been humming to herself, and among moving boxes she must have missed the sound of the little bell ringing above the front door as it opened. Her head finally lifted when she heard something moving on a nearby display.

Her head peaked around the corner to see who had come in unnoticed. “Hey, you can’t– That’s not for sale.”

Niamh loved antique shops, and she had been dying to try and explore the one that had caught her eye. Newly arrived and still unpacking, she probably should’ve focused on that, but with a need to get out of the house and explore she had finally made her way. A small smile tugged on her lips, tilting her head as she reached to check something out a little further. However, she yelped with surprise as she heard a voice, glancing over at the other, “Oh shi-- you scared me.” the woman replied, placing a hand over her chest. “No worries, I’m just looking, it’s amazing in here you own it?”

Character: Autumn Open to: All Time/ Setting: Any time period from Victorian to Modern Day - please specify in the tags. Either outside Autumn’s cabin, or a “pre-determined” meeting place.

Premise: Autumn is a witch/ medium who can see and speak to the dead. Sometimes it’s voluntary, sometimes it’s not.

It had been a very long night for Autumn, so much so that her last client had had the kindness (thankfulness?) to make her a cup of very strong tea for the journey home. She never understood why clients felt the need to request her services as night, though she supposed it had something to do with atmosphere or some crap. It was around ten at night when she arrived, though the bags under her eyes suggested that she rarely got to her bed before the wee hours. Someone else was due to arrive soon, but Autumn had given up on trying to look remotely awake some time ago.

At present, she sat nursing the tea, fingers tapping in agitation against the mug. The sound of approaching footsteps was the last thing keeping her tethered. Autumn glanced over, speaking softly. “Are you here for what I think you are?”

Whilst she often preferred to do her work under the cloak of darkness, the nighttime was a necessary and forced downside to her curse. The immortality granted by vampirism also took her powers and her ability to walk in the daytime, her natural connection to the earth cut and leaving the former witch stranded and reeling. For centuries she had been searching for an answer, a cure, a way to undo the wrong. The other witch didn’t realise it, but she was someone who could possibly help her find more answers than she needed. 

“Perhaps, are you Autumn?” the woman replied, arching an eyebrow. 

Open: m/f (35+)  Connection: another agent (MI6/FBI/CIA etc), basically based on this  Just gimme the slow burn of them going from disliking their situation to caring for one another - we can plot things out if you’d like

Ilsa made her way through the surprisingly lovely home, stepping into the kitchen with sleep in her eyes as she made for the coffee machine. She made a mental note to thank their handler for making sure they had one of these, because she had a feeling she would need it. Her ‘spouse’ was hadn’t emerged from their room as yet, but the sun was beating through the blinds as she poured herself a latte and stared out over their back yard. 

Never would she have imagined herself in a situation like this - playing the happy wife with someone for the sake of a mission. All she could do was hope that their targets would out themselves before they had to play happy couples too much. She couldn’t handle the idea of subjecting herself to this suburban falseness of house parties and coffee dates. It just wasn’t for her. 

As she lifted the mug to her lips, Ilsa turned to see her colleague appearing through the door and offered them a small smile. “Sleep well?” 

In the large family of five kids, it was easy to forget Spencer Maddox existed. The reclusive Maddox sibling, he was more often than not away from his hometown on a job that he kept on the down low from the rest of his family. Keeping them at bay with vague descriptions of what he was doing when he went on these long work trips. 

If only they knew. 

But this ? Wasn’t something he thought he could explain. He couldn’t exactly explain why he disliked this coworker and for what reason without telling his siblings the entire thing. Stepping into the room he finished buttoning his shirt and gave her a curt glance, “Fine. You?” 

The man helped himself to coffee, raising it in a toast before glancing over her shoulder outside. “Anything to report?”

Despite the hardships in her life, Morgan never let herself think that her life was terrible, she was always aware of the fact that she had brought all this life on herself. She had been perfectly aware of her movements and decisions that caused her to land in this moment in time, and it was all her own doing. From leaving home at 16, to falling in love at 21, bailing that boyfriend from debt by taking it on herself when he left and now... working for the man that once controlled her former boyfriend. Now the escort was stuck on the street corner, freezing her ass off and counting down the minutes to when she could go home and shower and sleep. Green eyes locked on the person in front of her with disgust and she arched an eyebrow, “You know I don’t do anything like that for less than a hundred, Mikey. Why don’t ya take that ugly bald head of yours back to your boss and tell him to suck it?”

Aylin was beyond frustrated. She knew going back to university as an older student would be hard, but she hadn’t realised that she would still be dealing with idiots all over again. The idea of team projects had brought fear out of her when she tried college the first time, the second it had only magnified. This person however, was the worst. Countless emails, texts, phone calls ignored and never seeing them in class had meant that she was one day off calling the professor and asking for help. So when they’d matched on tinder it had been the final straw. She named the cafe nearest to the library to meet, and armed with their project she sat down in front of them without a hello and slapped the project down. “You don’t wanna work, but I don’t care, we’re doing this.”

It had been successful, and Jonathan was certain the last time he’d experienced this amount of elation was the moment Emma and him confessed that they loved one another. And that was going to be endlessly true now, though he didn’t leave her side, always ensure she remained stable and needed all that she did in the post-turning. Emma was doing incredibly well, as Jonathan had expected, and at the moment he heard the doorbell resound through the hall, it would be the first time he’d left her resting side in hours. He couldn’t help but be on guard for extra measures either. Approaching the front door, ready to react as soon as he opened it, his eyes instantly grew wide with surprise instead at their company. Nicholas, pink balloon in hand and all. Even with his humanity switch issues, Nick did still go through with his ideas.“Glad we got you so chipper today, Nicholas.” Jonathan smirked, truthfully still beaming as he opened the door to allow his friend inside.

"I’m chipper everyday Jonathan darling.” he breezed past the other vampire to walk into the domicile with an amused smirk. Deeper in the house he could hear the slight shift of Emma as she sat up curious, probably able to hear with even more clarity than she did as a werewolf. He chuckled a little at the sound and was half tempted to call out a teasing message to the new vampire but he managed to withhold the comment ( for now ). Reaching into the inner pocket of his suit jacket, he pulled out the bottle of whiskey and held it up invitingly. “For the new daddy,” he added with a wink, “Or am I still the only one allowed to call you Daddy?” he asked with a grin, causing Emma to huff with disgust in the other room and slump down. 

“But I know they’re still your family.” Jonathan added with a nod. After all, the Sawyers had been the ones to care for her, and if not for them, it was likely that he’d never would have had a chance to meet her.  “To say the least.” He mused. Emma had done more than enough to put up his own family and their never-ending tribulations, and he’d do the same for all of hers.

Jonathan then gave a nod at her answer of a location. It was true, as long as he could be with her for the turning process, nothing else mattered. “Ours could probably work, unless we rented out a place?” He offered before hearing her following question, knowing he wanted to provide her all the answers he’d never had the choice to ask. “It’s..more on the lines of..getting used to. I know Nicholas hasn’t exactly been a shining example lately, but that’s also currently on his own will. And you never won’t be Emma to me, you won’t have to be concerned with that.” He reassured firmly, pressing his lips to the top of her head.

That was true. If she hadn’t been spotted by her father in the emergency room the night of the fire, she would’ve ended up somewhere else. Would she have been found by her grandfather? What mental condition would she have been in, had she ended up with someone that wasn’t as forgiving as her parents had been? She might never have come to understand her powers, or even realise what they were. That would’ve sent her over the edge eventually, she knew it. 

She kept quiet as she thought about where she’d want to be when she was turned, and as she thought about renting a place one did spring to mind. ‘What about the cabin?” she asked quietly, thinking on the weekend they spent there after telling him about her childhood growing up visiting it. “It’s quiet, isolated enough that no one will stop by..’ she fell quiet as she listened to him speak, the ultimate concern that she will be different after that. She changed when she lost her powers, why wouldn’t this be different? She leant into his lips, her eyes flickering closed. “Then we do it soon. I’m ready.”
