Dick turned and faced him then, showing off the frown on his face. “You need help, or B does and he’s too proud to ask?”
Jason felt his face twist up and start to scowl. “B doesn’t know I’m here.”
“He doesn’t! I’m here because of him. I have this... thing that I need to ask him but it’s not about a case and—you have to know what that’s like. You were with him for so long.”
There’s silence while Dick inspected him and Jason found himself trying not to twitch, to brush back his cape or straighten his belt. He felt very small under that gaze. Miniscule and unimportant. “You want my advice on how to talk to him,” Dick finally said, voice flat.
Jason nodded eagerly. “Yes. Yeah. It’s—hard. I’ve only lived with him a few months and you were there for years. I don’t know how to—”
