Some of the latest drydock photos from KIDD’s Facebook page. She’s looking real good and is slated to go back into the water on November 11th, Veterans Day. The return to Baton Rouge still won’t happen until the river rises in the spring though.

Remember while the ship is away, the museum is seeing significantly less visitation but there is still work to do on the home front let alone the need to just keep the lights on. Donations go a long way in helping us make it to the springtime for Kidd’s return.

Have you ever wanted to own a piece of USS KIDD history? Now you can! Our store is currently stocking rivets taken from the ship during her 2024-2025 dry dock period. Each rivet comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by our Executive Director and Ship Superintendent to guarantee its origin.

Two sizes are available- large ($50) or small ($35).
