Irispaw's decision to become a healer was because she wanted to explore more of her innate ability to see ghosts, and was also inspired by when her sister Stempaw fell sick with kittencough a moon earlier (thankfully, she survived and is now a warrior apprentice, along with Duckpaw, Bouncepaw and Primrosepaw).

Iriskit is the eldest in a litter of five, with her four other sisters being Duckkit, Stemkit, Bouncekit and Primrosekit. They were born to two outsiders who died afterwards (their mother, Short, died of kittenbirth, while their father, Holly, died of heartbreak). The kittens were found by the FrostClan deputy Tawnyspeck, who then took them in and raised them as his own alongside his mate Tansyrunner. Aside from her sisters, Iriskit also has her fosther brother Runningpaw, who is currently a warrior apprentice.

As soon as Iriskit reached her first moon, she began to develop the ability to commune with ghosts, including those of her biological parents, but as this power is currently underdeveloped, it's unknown how it will progress throughout Iriskit's life.
