In the Nintendo Switch version of Super Mario Galaxy 2, there is a unique glitch where the Beat Blocks in Beat Block Galaxy have a chance to simply stop working, and no longer switch places on the correct beat (or ever).

Note how in the footage, by the time Mario reaches the angled segment with the Octoombas, it would have been time for the green blocks to swap with the yellow ones, and yet they do not, causing Mario to die.

Nothing like this can occur in the original Wii version of Super Mario Galaxy 2 as the swapping is tied to a timer in a fundamental manner, which is always running as long as the level is loaded and gameplay is not paused. It is currently unknown what bizarre side effect of the porting process could have possibly introduced such a glitch.

while this might be the most bizarre (and funny) money incident on this site, the DUMB is no stranger to them. for example, we currently have a so-called "gambling update" to get rid of all the money everyone has. there was literally so much money going around that, at one point, multiple users had hit the integer limit for money.

US-20190388785-A1 is a patent for "a device that provides audible output pertaining to video audio (AV) content such as a video game based on a section of the AV content that's being presented" Which in layman's terms is a backseat gamer that you can buy. As a concept this is so funny because its trying to replace the curiousity of playing a video game by giving you hints about whats in the videogame (as seen in figure seven.)

Now it may seem like if this product had been developed and distributed it would've flopped but id argue otherwise as this was patented in 2019, aka the year before video game sales sudden hiked (I wonder why), but ultimately this is just another patent for a potential console companion piece. ALSO this figure is actually cracking me up
