A bunch of my art

In the recent chaos of trying to make sure I follow everyone on twitter I forgot to promote my own twitter and such.

Thank you all so much! You all inspire me and make me feel like i’m worth something. I wish I could respond to every single ask but I don’t want to clutter my art account with too much not art. But I want you to know that I appreciate every single one of you and I read as many comments as I possibly can.

I plan on making a youtube channel very soon and my first video will be a tutorial on how to make a Charlie of your very own. So keep an eye out for that because I will definitely announce it. 

Oh yes so a few people have asked about this now. I’m hoping to make a video tutorial in the future and unfortunately I have almost no pictures of the process. For now here’s a brief summary:

I removed the fur temporarily then opened him up to mess with the wires and figure out how everything worked. Then I discovered that if I leave the mechanisms intact and wire the batteries directly to the one motor that drives all movements that I could ignore all the circuitry. So I cut him in half making sure to cut above the circuit board because its so pretty but below all the mechanisms. Then I cut out a small Piece of copper plate, bent it to fit and screwed it in so that the mouth stayed open. (The screeching he does sometimes is actually from a gear slipping)

Next I wired everything together and added in the red LEDs and a power switch. The teeth were resin cast in a silicone mold I made using Halloween prop teeth. Then I put the fur back on and glued on the legs, which were made form paper mache and acrylic paint.

His identical brother is still normal (and not identical anymore) because I used him for a video project for school where Charlie would change between normal and toothy depending on if the lights are on.
