" I- wha-... I don't know what you're trying to insinuate but-" she's flustered, especially because a friend like Rhys knew her well enough to know her weaknesses.

the entire thing—the entire damn thing—just goes into her mouth. straight in there. vored. “ can i put it on my tab? ” unhelpfully, like it was that easy to organize a mounting pile of debt to someone. 

“ … “ a glance down at her now-empty plate, and then at the fruit tart. “ funny you mention it, looks like it all just disappeared— ”

As she rolls her eyes she slices off a piece of her own dessert and slides it on to Rhys' plate. "Count your blessings I ordered too much food, usually I wouldn't share but this is too good to waste ."

“ —are you gonna’ finish that? ”   pointing to the food in front of her.
