"I would like some tea, thank you," Gladius said, stalking into the kitchen. "I would also like to know why you're wearing a shirt."
Turvi kept himself busy getting mugs out, refusing to turn back around, and even biting his lip to keep himself from laughing. "What? I was cold. The breeze off the water tonight was quite chilly."
"I know you don't like being cold, but even you can't be that cold," Gladius chuckled. He grabbed Turvi by the shoulder and spun him around to face himself.
"No really! I'm freezing. That's why I wanted hot tea," he said, pointing exaggeratedly to the kettle as a bubble of laughter snuck out.
"Mhmm," Gladius hummed. "Why don't I warm you up then," he said, stepping closer and reaching out to grab Turvi to pull him flush against him.

The demeanour of faction leaders during the strategy discussion before the final mission will depend on the faction readiness rating. If the rating is high, they will express confidence in getting their assignment done, while low readiness will have them voicing doubts as they take Rook's orders.
Strife: Worse than that—our scouts reported that the Venatori sealed all the gates with those damn warding crystals. Rook: Can the Veil Jumpers disable them? [if the faction readiness is high] Strife: Venatori magic? Won't be a problem. [if the faction readiness is low] Strife: We've lost people, but we'll do what we can. Viago: The Venatori at that gate will be commanded by a war mage. That's how they usually operate. Rook: Can the Crows cut the head off the snake? [if the faction readiness is high] Viago: Contract accepted. [if the faction readiness is low] Viago: We'll do what we have to. Strife: One last thing might give the Crows some trouble. Strife: There's a massive construct, tall enough to crush buildings. It's guarding the main gate. Strife: We're going to need our heaviest forces against that giant bone golem. Rook: Evka? [if the faction readiness is high] Evka: The Grey Wardens have fought ogres and Archdemons. We can handle this. This began as a bit of dialogue I wrote between Senka and Lucanis for last year's Lucanis Week. Now we flesh it out.

Blueberries WERE absolutely harmed in the making. Cheeky bastards.
This is the recipe utilized in the story. I like blueberries. I like scones. I like to bake. Why not?
(I left off the "vanilla icing" because I find the taste of copious amounts of powdered sugar displeasing. A little butter brushed on top, a heavy-handed "sprinkle" [make it rain baby!] of coarse sugar and bam! Tasted like heaven.)
