i hc that while sk is a family man, and has daydreamed of tying the knot since day one, max doesn’t see the point in marriage at ALL,, like,, he doesn’t believe that MARRIAGE should make the relationship official,, being in a relationship itself is should be official((but its kinda because he’s scared of committing, in a way that he’s scared of him leaving)) AND there’s kinda this belief that….marriage is a curse because everyone he’s seen marry, they get a divorce soon into it and he doesnt want that at ALL ((also the hc where he believes just telling people that you love them means absolutely nothing)) 

And the first proposal,, its during a meteor shower and sk proposes to max with a ring made out of meteorite from one of his space missions, and max is like,, he’s just. and max is just– flattered but. against the whole thing basically,,, and poor sk is fucking heartbroken. i dunno but i guess thats what sk gets for making it a complete surprise,, 

Max slept by himself that night,, but after realizing that this means a lot to sk,, and he should put aside his own negativity,, he gets a ring out of something he cares about((don’t know what it will be yet))But he does it anyways because hes like … finally able to make himself vulnerable to another person
