“I must go, Kenzi.” Persephone confirmed for herstep-daughter. “I have a duty as the spring goddess and I can’t fulfill mypurpose if I’m still down in the Underworld. You know you can always come upand visit me, right?” She clarified with a bright smile. “Say please and I might bringyou something that will knock your socks off. Something custom made by yours truly.”

The child of Hades did enjoy Persephone’s company and in all honesty she was the only goddess that she actually trusted. “Please bring me a cool new plant. Something---deadly.” The smirk stayed on Kenzi’s face. She could be dangerous with a deadly plant. “And I will come visit you.”

“I hope he chokes on a pomegranate seed.” She muttered as she crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. The demigoddess wasn’t just angry with Hades. She was furious with everything and everyone, including herself. Everything that was good for her suddenly took a turn for the worse and everyone made it sound like it was her fault. It was her fault she would never be happy with anything or anyone. Yes, because that was the point in trying to be happy, to gain it and then lose it over the next couple of months or so.

Her eyes darkened a little when she found out what Hades had said to her sister. Sure, she had gotten the riot act read to her because she should’ve ‘known better’ and Kenzi just got a warning. “Neither do I and I wasn’t in the Lotus Hotel for years on end.” She growled. Everything changed too quickly around her for her liking. That was another problem. What felt like days were actually weeks. What felt like weeks were actually months. It was upsetting to say the very least. “I don’t know…”

“Well, you certainly are my sister with that kind of attitude. Such a relief after being around an Aphrodite girl for years on end in the Lotus.” Kenzi stated before rolling her eyes as Cerberus didn’t run to her. “Big mutt must not want to play.” Looking back towards the other demigoddess, Kenzi examined her style. To say things had changed was the understatement of the century. Kenzi had snagged a leather jacket from a boy back around the fifties in the casino but other than that she appeared like a girl from the 1920′s. Her make-up and hair was done up similar to that of a flapper girl.

“Two dumb questions for you--one, I never got your name and two--what year exactly is it? I know it is around 2000 or so judging by time lapse but I’m unsure of the exact date.”
