The conversation took a turn to intriguing, to say the least. Sio had only been half-joking about the whole 'wormhole travel' thing, but given that, more than ever, her life was basically a sci-fi series, so she shouldn't be surprised that yes, it seemed like trans-dimensional portals were an actual possibility in this world.

"I-I mean, if these Vex Gates are really that dangerous, we don't have to," Sio stammered. On one hand she really wanted to get home, but she'd also feel really bad if it caused a lot of trouble for her newfound companions. "Especially if you're not on good terms with them...I wouldn't to cause more trouble..."

Randomly wandering around and getting into scraps with the local aliens--Hive? Cabal?--probably wasn't the best idea. Even though Data and Selene confirmed that some were actually on their side, and so theoretically shouldn't cause any issues, the sniper's caution was in full force. None of the locations held any meaning for her, but from the way Data was whirring around furiously, it seemed likely that it was risky.

Incomprehensible jargon, probably.

Keynotes standing as names or places - Cayde, again. Osiris. Mercury tales. Failsafe. Whatever ' The Mind ' was. Minotaurs. Saint-14.

All of which came off as negative-entity stories on Data's part. First impressions pending a nearby future - if she's unlucky.

" It's not that we can't use them, " Data corrected in an exasperated sigh, his optic snapping back in a rather aggressive motion. " --But the Vex Network is complicated. It's not something we can simply traverse, nor do we have any inkling on how to control it.. at all. "

" It's sorta like... imagine a simulation. Within a simulation. But, you get so far deep into it, you can't really... tell where the simulation starts or ends, " Selene follows, motioning her hands as some sort of scale. " We absolutely die - there's no avoiding that. But in one other simulation, there's a chance we don't die. And then there's a simulation where we make it out. There's a simulation where we end up wherever you came from, " she points at Sio, " but then there's a simulation where we could end up in a dead zone forever, bound to wonder the emptiness. Make sense? " Shrugs.

" . . .It is, so much more complicated than that. But I suppose, that is the gist of it, " the Ghost groaned; to which if he had appendages & a nose, he'd be nearly ripping off the cartilage. Bipedal things. " Point of the matter, only one person has managed to navigate it successfully, & even that isn't an entire truth. It is not worth it, & truly you'd have better luck wishing upon an Ahamakara bone. "

-- to which, results in a trading expression from Selene to Data. It is extremely disapproving.

" Thank goodness, " Data whirled, optic blinking from the moving Cayde to Selene. " I was beginning to worry you'd taken a turn for the worst. Though I cannot say whether dying or healing are opposing options. "

" --I rather not, " the Hunter hissed between a sip, wincing at the thought ( and movement ). " It hurts... but I'll manage. "

An unsavory defeat to admit, but she held no energy to argue it for now. Star-gazed eyes following the Exo as he threw together his rally, watching together with Mist before she turned quietly in her direction mid-delivery. Hand extending back the canteen, " T..Thanks. S-Sorry, 'bout disappearing on you guys & getting mauled. When the massive thing showed up... & then the Psions -- We, I - -- I got overwhelmed, "

head shaking with hands moving in her vocals, it's the slightest wrong move that downs the Guardian in a pained yelp; both hands hastily finding themselves grasping at her side again. Provoking the Ghost to provide another scan on her body, the slightest blue illuminate trailing from head to toe in a hum.

He is more, so much more, and ever voracious.

"How vague," he replies back. Though he has not yet recalled their first meeting and likely won't unless she aids him, this encounter is certainly less tense than their prior. He's not a reason to lean upon violence, at the moment. Not starved for the Light, at the moment, though his worm always yearns for its succulent flavor, Yor is entirely content to talk and do little else.

Yet, he might very well swallow them whole if she makes one wrong move.

"It, being the Darkness?" He inquires with a subtle nod of his head towards the looming Pyramid ship off in the distance. Oh, how they had conversed. Can she feel how its voice clings to his dark figure, stark against the snow and ice, that he too commands the lack of motion that stasis employed?

Something she can accept, for now. Remaining at a distance as she tempted the waters of how far conversation could get her this time.

" It's what everyone calls it these days, " she gives him a short shrug, eyes remaining on his persons than to look anywhere away. " The Darkness. A shadow. Salvation. "

It is not a question of rather he had come in contact with it, but whether or not he had accepted its' offer, its' guidance. Seemingly the type at first glance, she assumes, but she is not oblivious to the starching contrast his silhouette has over that of the Pyramids & their residue.

His, somehow, still overpowers even the darkest corners of shade.

" Not surprised, " Selene corrects, tilting her head some. Expression dawning to something more apathetic. " There have been more to come to Europa than anticipated. But I'd like to think that the Vanguard's warnings simply gave many the fodder they needed to come explore on their owns. "

Curiosity, to some. Ignorance, to others. Corruption to the weak-hearted.

Her expression sours a moment, brows pinched in a pensiveness as she seems to look past him. A memory plaguing her thoughts in inopportune time. How willing would he be to indulge in her peculiar habit for information beyond that of reconcile?

" H-Hurts... "

It took a few minutes from the black out, but her voice manages to crack a wheezed consciousness. The Awoken's eyes, barely parted to slits as she stares upward at the dimming sky, trying to regain her grounding & location. She takes the flock of people for safety - a glance against the Exo in holding reassuring her thoughts, before attempting to sit up on her own. Several grunts to follow.
