Seriously, this guy. This guy right here. Emotionally-supportive of his giant monster children, cares about them and their feelings, is willing to listen and support them, is willing to fight to defend them, knows when to step back and let them take charge, knows when it’s time to just plain be a dad, lets his kids call him ‘dad’, is not above making a dumbass of the new guy just because, and – and this is the thing that makes him literally gobsmackingly-amazing:

he didn’t even start as a human. 

He had no concept of ‘how to raise kids’ outside of watching some dude and his little girl when he was still a lab rat, and yet managed to raise four mostly-functional teenagers who can literally play softball with him in beyond abject poverty, while keeping them safe. We’re talking “three weeks after mutating, he had these small green shits in bento-box cribs and was caring for them” levels of holy shit guys. 

Also he literally wore denim and a top-knot during the early-2000s which I think deserves some sort of fashion prize.
