Emma Haugh aka DAS DJ is a Dublin/Berlin based visual artist/dj/club promoter and  one member of the threesome behind ORANGE, a wilfully erratic queer club for all kinds of messers. She is co-producer of Frighten The Horses, a festival of queer art and music which brought JD Samsons' MEN (NY) and Berlin based KoolThing (now Evvol) to Dublin to play alongside a gang of Irish performers and visual artists. Formerly DJ SWEET Emma co-promoted and was resident dj at the legendary dyke club LIBIDA housed at various venues in Dublin for some years a long time ago. DAS DJ plays house, deep house and occasional disco funk.

Frighten the Horses : a festival of queer music and artist-programmed visuals//Event co-producer//June 2011//Block T. Bringing NY based MEN and Berlin based Kool Thing to Dublin for their debut performances. Programmed visuals by a selection of Irish contemporary artists including Paul Rowley, Alan Phelan, Aine Macken and Kieran Mc Bride.

THE JUICING ROOM//PARTY CONCEPT/VISUALS/DJ

Fennelys curator Etaoin Holahan invited me down to Kilkenny to programme visuals and play at The Abhainn Ri festival closing party, the mini residency culminated in a wild night of eating, drinking and hours of dancing with Das Dj playing a marathon seven hour set in the huge barn-stage out the back of the beautiful old pub, the locals were amazed.
