asami was by no means weak. korra wasn’t the only reason she went to the gym after all. still, she might have overestimated the amount of weight she could carry when picking up parts. usually her workers were the ones who went out and bought mechanical parts, but this was a personal project of hers, and she wanted to make sure she could oversee all of it, every last step. her box was piled so high with stuff she shouldn’t have even been surprised when she bumped into someone, but asami couldn’t help but yelp slightly, dropping the box in the process. “dammit.” she mumbled immediately bending down to try and pick up the parts. there were a lot of small ones. it took her a minute, she had been cleaning up her mess when she froze, eyes wide, finally looking up at the person she had hit. “oh my gosh, i am so sorry. i bumped into you and then didn’t even apologize. i must seem so rude. if you just let me take the time and find all the screws i definitely just lost i’ll make it up to you i promise. i could uh, take you out for a nice dinner, or give you a motorcycle. whatever you want.”
while ayano wasn’t the top of her class, it didn’t mean she wasn’t clever. she was quite capable of crafting or acquiring certain pieces of equipment when she needed -- which was why she was to acquainted with the store and its layout. but today she was just looking for a new chainsaw blade. it was supposed to be a simple in and out trip considering she still had a lot to do and the day was getting later. when she was bumped into, she felt annoyed -- but she didn’t let onto the feeling. if someone was so willing to easily give away something like dinner or a motorcycle, how much more useful could they be down the line? “oh, no! it’s okay! i should have been watching out for where i was going. maybe instead of dinner, we could be friends?”
