From Every Dark Corner

Over the past few days we have been working on our brand new record at Auckland’s Parachute Studios. It’s been an awesome process and we are very fortunate to have the support of such great people who have welcomed us into their awesome space to help us create what we hope to be our most successful release yet.

Working with Zack Ohren has been a great journey and we are incredibly happy with how the new tracks are sounding.

Our friend Richie came to hang out and shoot some stills as well as some video for an upcoming special on the making of this record for New Zealand TV.

God promises that He will draw close to you when you draw close to Him. How do we draw close to Him? First of all, this verse goes on to say that we must turn away from sin because sin separates us from God. When we turn away from the things that displease Him, we are turning toward Him. That’s the first step. Then, the Bible tells us to come into His presence with thanksgiving in our hearts and give Him praise. When you have a thankful heart, you are drawing closer to Him. Thirdly, scripture tells us that God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. When you live with an attitude of humility, you are drawing closer to Him.

As many of you may have heard my band Saving Grace is working on a brand new record right now with U.S. producer Zack Ohren.

Zack is the face behind the incredible production of many successful records from influential bands such as The Ghost Inside, All Shall Perish, Carnifex, First Blood, Immolation, Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth and As Blood Runs Black just to name a few.

We were fortunate enough to have our awesome label Facedown Records fly him out from San Francisco to New Zealand to spend just under three weeks with us working on what is undoubtedly going to be our biggest and heaviest record to date.

This Labour Weekend our drummer Shaun Anderson tracked all of the drums for the new record at Wellington’s Munki Studios and tomorrow we fly out to Auckland to begin working on guitars, bass and vocals at Kingsland’s Parachute Studios.
