But then my husband and I got curious and decided to look up the history of wheelbarrows, and we both thought it was surprisingly interesting.

The very next day, we were visiting a thrift store with family and my sister spotted a toy wheelbarrow for her son, and my husband said, “Did you know that Jesus was older than wheelbarrows? They weren’t invented until around 100 CE.”

I really like how it came out, especially because I’m still a beginner. I’m happy to answer any questions about it!

I wrote back and asked if she needed this for a school project or for something else where there's a deadline looming, for the simple reason that the more time I have, the more in-depth I can go with my research and the more material I'll be able to get for her.

And she answered that no, it's for her personal use because she's interested in abandoned buildings in general.

This is meant to go under my early natural form dress that I am working on. I cut out two rectangles, and then marked both the placement of the ruffles and the size (gradually decreasing) of the different sections of stuffing. I then added the ruffles, then sewed on the other back rectangle and flipped it

I stuffed it and then, since it was hard to wrangle through the machine with the bulk and the ruffles, I stitched between the sections by hand. The ties are just twill tape. The ruffles will not lay flat, but whatever, they should behave better under the skirts. It’s pretty long and narrow, although not so long that it gets in the way of sitting down. My skirts for this dress are going to be heavily trimmed and trained, and since I’m going for early bustle era, I definitely still want a little floof under the skirts at the back
