HI LOL. so before i gts bc a girl needs to sleep even tho its already past 3am... i just finished s1 of gossip girl so here is my current opinion + some spoilers from s1 and after bc i decided i needed to google them..
- IMMEDIATELY during the first episode, i saw blair and i said: "that is a closested probably internalized homophobic lesbian most likely bisexual bc obviously she got a bf. but she's only homophobic to herself but she's fine w everyone else"
- blair should've cut serena and nate off after finding out that they slept together, but what fun would a tv show be if the characters did that?? plus, i get how hard it can be to cut someone off after they've been in ur life since... well, forever yk
- i think serena wasn't as insufferable as everyone says but she was decently insufferable in s1, so i get it ig??
- blair is suchhh a complex character, i honestly love the way she was written. she can be a complete bitch but her vulnerable side js completes her character so so well. i'm not trying to excuse any of her shitty actions, especially since a couple of them were were for some petty reasons, but ig that's what a girl's gotta do to stay on top in the upper east side. she was honestly just a high school girl (with many privileges) who needed someone by her side, js like a little girl
- blair was so so so jealous of anyone who tried to take what was "hers" and u could just see the insecurity forming in her expressions whenever someone was trying to take what was hers. but i can see why she is like that and her mommy issues is honestly so?? seeing blair just light up whenever she made her mom proud honestly made me so sad because it never lasted for long :(
- eric being gay??? idk i kinda expected it but i didn't think it would happen. i could careee less abt it but i thought it was cute. his coming out though? not too much
- georgina sparks reminds me of lila from miraculous, it's actually weird... js lies, lies, and more lies all around LOL. g actually pmo so bad like i was abt to find my way into the tv and punch her ass
- i think dan and serena should stay separated (or wtvr they are rn but it's probably not dating atm lol) so their parents could get together (YES. I KNOW THEY DONT WORK OUT IN THE END BUT STILL...) bc dating ur step-anything seems so weird and gross
- jenny kinda was like woah. idk but if i pulled off whatever she did in MY house? omg you guys would never get another story from me AGAINNNNN
- chuck makes me so mad in so many ways, it infuriates me so much π i do think him and blair r better than blair x nate tho (SO FAR BC IK WHAT HE DOES TO HER LATER π)
- lil and rufus r so adorbs together :( but them being around one another while actively being w/ someone else js hurt them even more and hurt their partners. and i honestly hated that
- NATE AND VANESSA ARE CUTE TOGETHER IM SORRY π£
- vanessa said she doesn't like the elites and stuff (kinda forgot what she said) but stuck her nose in their business like there was no tomorrow lmao ππ but dan does the same fucking shit so it's no wonder they're bffs π«©
- at the end of ep 18 s1, blair getting kinda sad when chuck said he couldn't come ππ but literally they both started talking to another person LITERALLY right after like pls guys
