Hello, everybody! Here is my piece for the @bnhabigbanger! I based it on “Symphony” by Clean Bandit. Please also go check out the fabulous art that my partner @danyartime​ made to accompany the story!

Tenya Iida had it made for a nineteen-year-old if he was being quite honest. He attended one of the best universities in the country. He was enrolled in its prestigious athletic training program, which was led by some of the most well-known in the career field. On top of that, he had a lucrative scholarship for being the school’s track star, and he had made such a name for himself that Olympic scouts were already clamoring at the sidelines and screaming promises of glory. He lived in a nice apartment in the best part of town, well-priced and lacking irritating neighbors with a nice street view as a bonus. Yes, Tenya Iida was doing quite well, indeed. 

However, he couldn’t help but think that something was missing. He couldn’t quite place what that was. Yet, a cloud hung over him as he went about his daily routine, over and over and over. The high of independence and success had faded, it seemed; school and training dominated his life, and while that was all well and good… He couldn’t help but long for someone to share it with, he supposed. What was that saying? Ah, yes. It’s lonely at the top.

Here is my story for the KamiJiro Kingdom’s KamiJiro Secret Santa Exchange! Had a blast writing for my favorite MHA ship! <3 Enjoy the fluff!

Denki’s eyelids felt like metal weights were attached to them. They hung low over his eyes, his golden irises just small slits glowing with the sheen of the computer screen. With one hand curled into a fist and pushed into his cheek to support his lolling head, the other flicked his fingers across the mousepad. However, he wasn’t mindlessly scrolling on the Internet in the wee hours of the morning; no, he was looking for something very specific: a Christmas present for Kyoka. 

After all the excitement of their first and second years, things had finally settled down. Their semesters had turned into normal hero training rather than constant life-and-death clashes with villains; the time had passed quickly, and now, they were approaching their second Christmas Break. Denki had harbored feelings for Kyoka for a while now, and they had only grown over time. Now that life had settled down, he thought it was high time to finally express his feelings to her—and what better way to do it than with a heartfelt Christmas gift?

However, his many hours of scouring various online shops had yielded little results. There were plenty of options, but he just couldn’t find the perfect gift. He was about to just break down and buy something random, but just in case, he decided to return one more time to the website of Kyoka’s favorite music store. As he pulled up the page, a large flickering banner that hadn’t been there before was plastered at the top of the page, advertising a limited release of a new, much anticipated album. 

Denki shot up in his seat, instantly wide awake. He recognized the name of the album being offered. Kyoka had been chattering about it for months! It was an old album of one of her favorite bands as a kid being re-released on vinyl, and she was dying to add it to her collection.

It turned out well, and all the art was beautiful–I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did, as all of them are now attached to the fics on both Ao3 and Tumblr (with proper credit, of course!). Also, I’m very humbled that my stories inspired you all to create such beautiful pieces. They are all so lovely in their own way, and even if you don’t get a “prize,” know that you’re all winners in my heart! <3

It seemed that no one could resist your great rendition of Ragdoll and Present Mic! You win a fluff alphabet for a character of your choice and a set of headcanons. 

To everyone else that participated, even if you weren’t “voted” as a winner, please don’t be discouraged. The third place spot really was hotly contested; it seemed that everyone had a hard time choosing because all of the creations were just so amazing! I don’t want you guys to end up empty-handed, so @bearandbirdfan, @annairaartsuwu, and @lemonjelloarts, you guys win a participation prize of a set of headcanons, too! Wendy’s breath fogged in little white clouds before her face as she breathed deeply into her mitten-covered hands. Warmth pooled into the wool fabric, spreading soothing heat over her chilled fingers. With knitted eyebrows, she glanced up at the morose, depressing cloudy gray sky. Her eyelashes fluttered as a few tiny snowflakes settled upon her face, giving her chilly little kisses before melting from her body heat. As a shudder gripped her body, she wrapped her arms around herself and shouted, “Brrrrrr!" 

Magnolia’s climate was typically temperate even in the winter, but a cold front had swept across the continent, painting it white with blizzards and snowfall without discrimination. Thus, the city now lay buried under heaps and heaps of snow. The plowing machines were struggling to manage the sheer amount of fluff raining down from the sky, so the mayor had beseeched the resident mage guild to use their suitable magicks to rid the streets of the snow before they were effectively smothered. Wendy was on the harborside storefront with Natsu, using her wind magic to blast the snow over the retaining wall and into the freezing cold bay. 

HI, everyone! I can’t believe it’s a new month already! You know what that means–a new blog event! I considered doing another drabble event, but considered how behind I am on things, I figured that probably wasn’t the best idea. So, I decided to do something that I have been considering for a while– 

an art contest!

It’s the month of being thankful and the beginning of the holiday season, so I thought, what better way to celebrate this blog than by celebrating my wonderful artist cohorts? Collaboration and celebrating one another’s art is a wonderful thing, and so, I’ve decided on this art contest! It’s really simple: 

Choose any of my stories on my masterlist to create an illustration for! A drabble, a oneshot, a long story–all of them are up for grabs. Create your illustration and post it to Tumblr and/or Twitter by Dec. 31st, and tag me @/vannahfanfics to enter it into the contest! Multiple submissions are allowed, because this is all about celebrating how artists and writers can support one another and create beautiful works! <3

Winners will be announced soon after that! There will be three: 

First place: Two oneshots, a fluff alphabet, and a set of headcanons!

Second place: One oneshot, a fluff alphabet, and a set of headcanons!

Third place: A fluff alphabet and a set of headcanons!

Hi, everyone! I am super excited to announce my story for the @bnha-big-bang! I had the privilege of working with two talented artists, @danyartime​ and Guess, as well as a lovely beta, @aimeramie​! Neito squinted his sky-blue eyes as he gazed up at the forty-seven floors of smooth glass etched with silver lines that towered above him. The color reflected in the rectangular panes, making the skyscraper gleam a brilliant blue against the backdrop of the clouds and the gray buildings. Neito was standing in the impressive shadow of the newly-opened Shibuya Scramble Square, the latest attraction to one of Japan’s most hustling-and-bustling shopping districts. With fourteen floors of commercial shops, several stories of office spaces, and three floors of observatory that provided a panoramic view of the cityscape, it was bound to be considered one of Japan’s gleaming gems within the next few years. 

Not that Neito cared. He’d much rather be back in the dormitory plotting his next scheme to bring Class 3-A to its knees. I can’t believe I let them drag me out on this shopping trip, he sulked as he cast his eyes to the building’s glass double-doors, where Tetsutetsu, Itsuka, Setsuna, Pony, and Yosetsu were all chattering animatedly. Pony noticed he had paused to admire the hulking structure and bounced over, her hooves clicking against the sidewalk.

Shoto sucked in a deep breath as he straightened his bowtie for the tenth time in the last minute, using his reflection in the mirror to ensure that the wine red accessory hugged the collar of his white button-down shirt snugly. As his hands fell, they automatically itched to smooth down the nonexistent creases in the thick, sleek fabric of his tuxedo jacket. He smoothed his palms down his front anyway, until they met the band of his black dress pants. Just as he began to wonder if he should re-shine his shoes, he realized just exactly where his mind was derailing and smiled sardonically to himself. 

Natsuo told me about the pre-wedding jitters, but I never imagined they would be this bad.
