Raiji’s weapon is a large spear, which he uses to pin down anomalies and manually rip out their spine. He excels on forward thrusts, but lacks on more complex agile movements.
Majority of deployments were simple defensive guards above ground from the workers. However, being at the border, it was not rare for them to turn into a hunt and suppress type job.
Once the Core System, which was keeping the territories stable, collapsed, Raiji got repurposed as a defensive role as the only Berserker deployed in that isolated outpost.
As resources to maintain a Berserker ran out, his assigned nurse chose to remove the failsafe implants from his spine, this way avoiding the nervous system to go permanently in shock and die.
The choice proved to be wrong as the few people living in the outpost soon died out due to radiation.
She chose in the end to not shut down his implant still, but to die by his hands instead of radiation, leaving Raiji in an hibernation state to possibly be found by future search-and-rescue Ranger teams.
