Behind closed doors.

I just came across a bunch of blog entries I wrote at the age of 16; it's strange to look into the thoughts of a past self and recognize that I'm not even close to the person I was five years ago. In this blog, I wrote a great deal about being unhappy with myself and my life at the time. I felt unsuccessful, timid, and unmotivated for a great deal of high school. I did not feel like anyone would be proud of me. This put my life into a different perspective today. Looking back at these rough patches makes me realize how blessed I am to be living the life that I do. I am now strong, independent and hardworking. I see a bright future ahead; one that I never thought existed. A big thanks to my many friends and family for helping me through those tough times. There is too much to be thankful for tonight.
