I couldn't find the template so I made it myself
i love the pocket of neutrality geno lies in. not evil enough for the bad sanses. not heroic enough for the star sanses. powers are too lame to be part of the epic sanses. i like to think heâs smack in the middle of all of it. heâs thst person whoâs like âoh i know a guyâ he knows all the guys. every single one of them. not a guy that he hasnât met
nightmare WOULD have recruited him if it werenât for the fact geno is so unbothered by him. heâs the sort of raging hypocrite nightmare loves, but this guy has literally zero fucks to give. and he canât leave his little pocket of void anyway so whatâs the point.
genoâs probably met dream or ink. i have no doubts heâd get along great with swap, being close enough go genoâs papyrus. heâs probably on good terms with all the stars
i donât know much about the epic sanses (?) aside from the basis/key details of their backstories but i think theyâd get along pretty wellâ delta and color being classic variants and whatnot, and epic being generally chill as well
i just think itâs so funny that i literally feel like i could put this guy in a room with ANYONE and heâd honestly be fine. heâs got the canon sans chillness to me. he wins most amicable guy award
geno having classicâs level of chillness perfectly encapsulates his vibe to me. putting him in any specific group (bad sanses, star sanses, etc.) feels like youâd have to push for him to really gaf
geno is always on the outside looking into the âmainâ conflicts surrounding the dreamtale brothers or error and ink. geno knows error. geno would also likely know ink or dream or nightmare in some way. geno is paired up with reaper most of the time. geno could chill with cross or epic and have a good time. geno could be dropped into the classic+swap+fell+horror group and fit in just fine
geno is just that guy. loved by all and welcomed too. not fully drifting from group to group but existing in his own bubble
most of genoâs multiverse interacts that iâve seen involves reaper or error or fresh! and fresh is another character that doesnt exist in any specific group but could fit into them easily. they all have their own unique dynamics that i just adore
AAAA YOU GET IT!! i do like genoâs little âbubbleâ being what is typically considered his family (error and fresh and reaper, sometimes after and paci if theyâre mentioned at all) but his lack of both fanon and canon interaction with the rest of the multiverse is a big portion of why i like exploring his relationships with other characters so much.
his stance is so neutral that itâs almost strategic. itâs wild to me. itâs why (and sorry for this tangent in advance) i SERIOUSLY had to consider the hermit when looking at what tarot card best suited himâ not quite so much just for his character, but for my interpretation of his multiversal role, albeit a little more symbolically.
i love the headcanon that classic is royal judge and i love putting it on geno as well. i think heâs observant in the same way. knowing every big player in the multiverse means knowing a lot about whatâs going on in each side, and being brothers with two of the biggest multiversal players is even better. (i like your point about fresh being similarly neutral!! the cq siblings all have that weird bubble to meâ the only difference is error, who, rather than fitting into none of the groups, fits partially into multiple of them)
pointing at your tags and waving my arms around incomprehensibly!!!! i would love to hear you talk about epic. i havenât gotten around to reading any of the epic sanses original stories yet so iâd love to hear it!!!
cross dynamic with geno is something i thought about after underverse 0.7.2!!! itâs actually one of the easiest interactions heâs probably had with any other au. iâd like to think that either after the events of underverse, or in another multiverse, aftertale as a whole would be a second home to him. i need geno and after and ink and cross to have tea parties together. i need killer to get away from nightmare and join them. color drops him off and picks him up. i think they would all benefit from this
infection au diary!tom
đtries to copy real sixteen-years-old tom riddleâs appearance but fails when it comes to details like the hogwarts emblem or head boy/prefect badge. they end up becoming obscure and completely meaningless, like early AI-generated pictures.
đmostly consists of skin, blood, and ink, so basically, can take any preferred form.

Michael, Elizabeth, CC, and William are the Flesh, the Machine, the Divine, and the Rot, respectively
I am here to yap again lol.
I have too many Michael and William hcs, but my favorite is when William sees himself in his oldest son to the point it scares him. So William tries to stamp out all of his own flaws that he sees in Michael the way his own father did. He is cruel and distant and thinks this will toughen Michael up. Michael will be just like him if he pushes him hard enough.
When Michael begins breaking the cycle of abuse and embraces the qualities in himself that William also identifies with, it terrifies him. William cannot acknowledge that maybe everything he represents is toxic somehow. That he would have been happy living a different life. Maybe he doesn't even know who he is anymore, because to him, William Afton is more of a character in a stage play (and I think his springbonnie persona somehow gives him a certain freedom but it's also confusing for him. (Is William Afton the man a performance or is Springbonnie (the literal performance) more true to who he is)?
Michael makes William confront all of this and that's what terrifies him. I think that's why it's so easy for him to blame Michael for when everything goes wrong. He built William Afton like one of his animitronics and he destroys him, too. Michael exposes this concept of a man, and that the true person underneath is miserable (and William isn't even sure who that more authentic person is anymore).
Because Michael wears so many different masks in FNAF but he stops losing himself in them. He has to hide himself and use numerous disguises for survival, but he knows who he is underneath it all (probably not at first but definitely by Pizza Sim). William loses himself completely, and I think it's interesting how he becomes Springtrap but William Afton as a person is lost. He doesn't really have a good sense of self to begin with though.
This post is all over the place lol, but it is an interesting hc that maybe William sees who he could have become in Michael. Michael forms a sense of self despite everything, and William wants that so badly.
Mike and Elizabeth both being associated with foxes in FNAF 4â Mike with the Foxy mask and Elizabeth with the Mangle toy in her roomâ while CC has the Fredbear Plush, a character associated with Henry and the Emilys, that follows him everywhere he goes. How Foxy might be the outcast of the band, but CC is an outcast within his own family.
How Elizabeth as Baby has a speech about the importance of "pretending" in Sister Location, while Mike torments his brother while wearing the Foxy mask in Fnaf 4. How everytime he's on screen he's shown wearing it, except for the final cutscene when he's apologizing to his brother.
How both Michael and Elizabeth crave William's approval, in the games and adaptations. How both of them attempt to immitate their father yet fail to truly be him.
Mike in his cruelty towards his brother and eventual death by his hands. Yet his apology and subsequent guilt afterwards sets him apart from William. By doing something his father would never do, he demonstrates that he's not his father. That he could never be his father, no matter how hard William tries to mold him into a puppet. Even if itâs ultimately to his detriment, when his inability leave the past behind and eagerness to free the souls at all costs is what costs him everything.
How Elizabeth as Baby attempts to imitate her father by taking charge of the Funtimes. Using the role of 'leader' to reinstate her usefulness to the group. A little girl mimicking her father's treatment of others without understanding the pattern behind it. A child clumsily trying to replicate a card trick after a magician's performance, failing to see the string attached. Of course she failed, seen by peers as manipulative and controlling, then abandoned. Stubbornly clinging to her father as her salvation until the bitter end. Becoming everything she thinks he wants at the cost of herself only to be ignored and forgotten once again.
How it parallels her novel counterpart, trapped within the same pattern despite being somewhat more aware of it. She reflects on how cruel it is for children to yearn for love yet lack the intellect to understand their pain as she desperately tries to rationalize her right for love and happiness by putting down someone else. A trait she learned from William through his neglect of his children by prioritizing his own whims over their wellbeing. His readiness to be cruel, always in search of a grievance to rally against, as he waits for an opportunity to wield his power over the powerless.
In a household that rewards cruelty, where children are rewarded to discard their own personhood in a bid to prove themselves as useful tools, what good is it to be a boy who crumples and breaks down into tears when distressed? Who has no power to wield over others? Who's unable to charm his peers into convincing them he's someone to keep around? Who spends everyday at a place he fears? Who can't conceal his tears despite being relentlessly mocked for them? Who never learned how to play pretend like his siblings?
What advantage does a boy like that have over a sister who knows how to fake a smile? Over a brother that can go off and sulk while he waits for an opportune time to lash out? Siblings with a commanding presence among their peers. Who understand how to mask their emotions, concealing their hand, while they claw their way towards measly scraps of power. What good is it to be a boy who never learns his lesson among his father's best pupils?
What good is it to be a cub raised among foxes?
cc/bv is the child who quite likely would have grown up the most like William in personality if he had lived (see the âtwo types of nasty peopleâ passage from TSE) but the fandom isnât ready for that conversation
Hm, yeah that passage is really interesting in regards to William's character, at least how he's portrayed in The Silver Eyes.
To me, it reads less like it's implying a tragic backstory for William, and more so explaining to the viewer how William weaponizes his cruelty. He quietly tallies up grievances, ruminates on grudges, before finding the perfect opportunity to take it out on someone beneath him.
It aligns with why he killed Charlotte in the books. Henry didn't do anything to him besides have something he didn'tâ a happy family and a superior proficiency at robotics. He seems genuinely unaware that there was any bad blood between them until after the MCI. Yet he doesn't take it out on Henry, he takes it out on Charlotteâ his defenseless three-year-old daughter, to hurt him by proxy. Because Henry could potentially overpower him, outsmart him, outrun him, but Charlotte doesn't stand a chance.
Across continuities, William abuses every position of power he's given. We see it with his murder victims (primarily children), his children, his employeesâ when he doesn't, he seeks to gain power over them like Edwin or picks a proxy he can lash out at like with Henry. A reoccurring trait reinforced by what Carlton says about "Dave" upon first meeting him in the novel, a petty tyrant who enjoys exercising what little power he has over people to the fullest extent.
That's not to say that he couldn't have had a traumatic childhood, or that he doesn't have a genuine reason to be dissatisfied with his life. But the novel makes a point to emphasize his actions rather than his past, which I appreciate. It's not that a bad thing happened to him, it's about the choices he makes.
The "mantle of sadism" is imaginary, it means whatever he needs it to, so that he has an excuse to be cruel and remain the victim. It doesn't matter what he's retaliating against, only that he's evening the score. Which makes the connection between him and CC interesting.
Because, at the end of the day, William is an adult man with a family and a well paying job. He may see himself as a victim of circumstances but he very much has control over his circumstances. He is all about having control over his circumstances.
CC has no power. CC is a child dependent on his family and the adults around him who consistently fail him. FNAF 4 hammers in how much this kid's life suckâ a family that neglects him, a brother who torments him constantly, a father that's always working, his only friends are plushies, kids bully him, forced to go to a place he hates everydayâ he's fatally wounded from a cruel prank on his birthday.
Yet we don't really ever learn to see how he deals with tragedy, other than shut down and cry. Everything else is up to theories. You can argue whatever you want to be true for his character past FNAF 4, and for the most part canon won't stop you.
CC is very much a victim, where William is an adult with power who is very invested in seeing himself as one. We don't get much insight into their relationship, or CC as a whole. With Elizabeth and Michael, it's easy to make comparisons to Williamâ Elizabeth (as Baby) is manipulative and can be ruthless in pursuit of a goal. Michael in Fnaf 4 also fits the description of 'petty tyrant' from TSE, albeit more of with the first type given. He openly torments his brother, and also takes some delight in it (from the laughing in the background during minigames.) He seems to care about others approval, from the conversation between him and his friends leading up to the Bite.
Again, a lot of CC's character rests on whatever theories someone prescribes too. I personally lean towards CC being the black sheep, in a lot of ways popular fanon tends to see Michael as. The one kid who lacks the power to be cruel and the ability to pretend. Unable to hide what his father would likely deem as 'weakness' and suffers for it. Treated like an inconvenience, who can only hope to find a quiet place to hide to be more 'out of the way' for everyone else. Hell, with his similarities with Sammy's characterization in TSE, the novels implying Charlotte to be closer in age to CC than Michael (movies contradict this but whatever) and the fact that he carries a Fredbear plush, could even argue that "Afton kid closer to the Emilys than own family" fits CC better. Especially since both Elizabeth and Michael both are depicted seeking approval from William at some point, while CC doesn't (mostly bc canon forgets about him but again whatever). I have my own headcanons about him after death but this post is already long so I'll leave it there.
But yeah, the connection between these two is definitely interesting

save elizabeth since youre both fighters â exchange looks and watch ennard shank her â
had this moment in a bite by night match and i just have to shitpost for a second
I spent an hour on this for no good reason
Family portraits?? Deep introspective portraits?
This has been sitting in my asks for a while and I can finally answer it!! Original post here.
Nothing of this is deep but I put some effort to try bring some interpretations out of the art because I made it with this ask in mind; so, I will tell a few things I thought about while doing this drawing! <3 (this absentmindedly includes headcanons)
1) Despite being very close, the Aftons barely touch each other. There is few affectionate contact between them. This is shown in how Elizabeth reaches for her mother, but since she doesnât receive any attention, she curls her hands to herself.
And while itâs not shown, the same happens with Evan. He is being hugged by Clarice but he doesnât reciprocate the affection; instead, hides his hands.
2 Elizabethâs smile is the only one that reaches her eyes, implying sheâs genuinely happy (Clariceâs doesnât, for example).
I think this happens not only because she likes picture day, but also because the portraits are a way to show off her happy family to visitors, so she puts an effort to look the best she can in them. Her smiles ALWAYS look painful in her face.
What do you think the Aftons wouldve became if they all didn't die? i mean like do they do sports, music, future job/college? what would they look like or live?
im just curious with your AU since i love learning abt how people portray the Aftons. Also, im loving ur fic. I think chapter 11 is my favorite, especially how you wrote Anises emotion at the end.
Hi anon!! Thank you so much for your kind words ahhh in so glad youâre enjoying the story so far đŠˇđŠˇ chapter 11 is also my favorite ngl I popped off with that one đđđâď¸
As for the Aftonâs of the Amnesty verse! I have........many thoughtsâŚâŚ
Au facts about Evan Afton for yâallâs enjoyment
He has glasses due to the fact that heâs near sighted
His favorite book is The Little Prince
He has super intense sensory issues when it comes to food. He only eats chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, bananas, pizza, applesauce, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and milk to drink
His favorite toy other than pffb (physic friend Fredbear) is one of those small plastic phones with eyes and wheels
He was born on august 18,1975
He is best friends with Cassidy
The whole gassing stuff works different in my Au, instead of gas, itâs sleeping pills that make him have horrific hallucinations if he wakes up, doesnât help that they give him huge headaches
He is autistic, it being the 80âs, that wasnât great for him
He has hetechorchima *, his left eye is lighter than his right
Micheal and him were actually very close prior to Fredbears opening, which coincided with Micheal entering his teens
If he had lived, he wouldâve have become a doctor, as he had a interest in medical science from a young age
He is very good at bike riding, he can even pop wheelys
He is a HUGE mamaâs boy, this was part of the reason Micheal bullied him because he was jealous that he had a mom
Goes on to poese Fredbear/Golden Freddy, later joined by Cassidy
He chews on his nails

đ°đ¨âđŠâđ§âđ§ (the Afton Family; what were they like?)
They were as close as you could get to the nuclear family stereotype. William arrived from overseas to attend college in the States, where he would become well acquainted with Henry and Adelaide. He had a rather dreary home life on the English countryside, living in practically a ghost town by all accounts; so getting to leave to a more lively place was a rather welcome change in pace. He had an interest in creating music, though had no prior knowledge of music theory or what have you, instead preferring to play things by ear and self teaching. While he prefers the guitar, he has some skill in playing piano. This would lead him to connect with Henry, who wanted to scrabble together a small band comprised of himself and Adelaide, the two who were practically conjoined at the hip. He has a habit of taking facets of others and absorbing them into himself, leading to his interest in the mechanical. He found himself in some sort of strange relationship between them both. He did love them both, equally. But ultimately ended up choosing to marry Adelaide after they found themselves with their first: Michael. William was truly a loving father at some point in his life, but after the first springlock incident and Evan's death, things started to simply go downhill. Fast.
A part of me wants to headcannon that Crying Child loves Christmas. Like, sure, he gets severally bullied like 11 months out of the year and his brother told him about Krampus when he was like 5 prompting the "there's no Santa" talk early (and that's only if William would be willing to let them believe in Santa at all, but I get the feeling he would just say it was an old legend while Unnamed Wife wanted to let the trio have their fun) and he's got some kind of untreated anxiety that no one is taking seriously, but that doesn't mean he can't be happy for a little while.
Like, playing in snow is great when you're little, (I just found out it snows Utah bc the elevation is so high) and sweets are more readily available, and I have attached myself to the idea that he especially loves Christmas lights. He loves the displays people do on their houses, he loves seeing Christmas trees all lit up and shiny, and he loves how bright and cozy they feel (considering he's deathly afraid of the dark, they also make him feel safer) And besides, CC is a little kid, little kids love Christmas more then anyone else. : )
Then I remember he wouldn't have lived long enough to be disillusioned with Christmas in the first place. : (
