Also I understand I'm just super hateful at this point where she's concerned but her seemingly being surprised at being asked about Robron made me want to scream. Duh you're going to get questions about them. I'm so annoyed 😭

But Laura seems determined to pretend that's not the case. And in fact seemingly attributed all that ratings windfall to the introduction of Kev. It was never about Kev. Nevertheless they brought him back and are giving him nonstop focus and attention and the ratings are cratering. Not a single aspect has improved numbers wise. In fact they are down and continuing to fall across the board. Kev is absolutely not solely responsible or even mostly responsible for that but he's the perfect symptom of the problem. The audience at large was never clamoring for a Kev or Graham return. Sure they each had their fans but it was never the general audience en masse. Kev and Graham are just more gimmicks along with the stunts and special episodes. They're all just distractions. People don't want that. They want actual storytelling with characters we know and are already invested in. But Laura has more than proven storytelling is what she's not capable of doing. So she throws stunts and new characters who are completely void of any kind of depth or actual purpose to fill air time instead of actual storytelling. There's zero connectivity in the show. There's zero actual story focus. Everything is random bits of a bunch of different plots being thrown into the plot that was pitched as the actual storyline but ends up not being that at all and they're using the same character grouping over and over as well. It's not working on any level and won't improve as long as she's allowed to stay in her position. She's actively killing the very thing she's supposed to be protecting the creative structure of. She has no intrest in doing the one thing she was allegedly hired to do. It's truly heartbreaking.

He's not great by any means and I have no explanation as to how he keeps getting cast in things. Don't get me wrong, he seems perfectly nice but he definitely shouldn't be as continuously employed as he is. I assume his in-laws are involved somehow. They seem to have lots of money, lol.

Nicola and Jimmy have never been a character problem so none of this is on them. Lewis and Vinny are a problem in their own right for sure but they're not responsible for Kev not working. Tying him to Lewis was their first mistake anyway. Lewis isn't a character the general audience was ever clamoring for more of. Kev just doesn't work as a full-time character and he definitely doesn't work without them being willing to put any kind of effort whatsoever into him. Yet here he and Lewis are in every episode taking up most of the scenes in each episode. Their viewership is declining. Their online views are dropping as well and he is most definitely not helping the issue. The social media team clearly aren't paying attention to any actal numbers though given the sheer amount of posting they do about him (the numbers on his post have stagnated though and certainly aren't increasing which makes it even more odd that they keep posting about him). Miscalculations are plentiful sadly and bringing him back full-time with this much constant focus was definitely a miscalculation but the odds of anyone in charge admiting that are slim to none.
