           ❛   i appreciate the food, oliver.   ❜ she doesn’t say it lightly either. laurel had agreed, ever since her surgery in the hospital, that she’d stay out of the CRIME-FIGHTING for a couple weeks, at least until she was all healed up. and while she had stayed true to her word, it didn’t mean that doing so was easy. she swirls the food around her food, peeking down at the almost gone remains before speaking again. ❛   have you found dahrk yet?   ❜

          ❛   i know you and superman must be pretty close, but i imagine he can also get on your nerves. hell, almost every guy here gets on my nerves.   ❜ dinah’s made it no secret that she’d probably PUNCH a guy if he looked at her the wrong way, even if he was a superhero. that’s not to say they can’t look at her. sure, they can. but there’s a difference between looking and leering.

( she’s still sore, but she no longer feels like she’s going to puke if she gets up. so that’s a plus. ) honestly, laurel gets the fuss over her. dahrk could have killed her and he almost did, but she’s better now. and she’s not going ANYWHERE. ❛   if you still insist on putting me on bed rest, then fine. at least pass me the chips.   ❜

         lips curl up into a knowing smile ( which might seem eerie to those that don’t know what she’s thinking ), and it quickly turns into a SMUG SMILE as she turns her gaze towards him. ❛   your crush on HUNTRESS,   ❜ she starts and fingers run through blonde tresses, letting her gaze drift away. ❛   it’s cute. and pretty weird, but hey -- i’ll keep the judging to a minimal.   ❜

           ❛   i was hoping i wouldn’t have to see you again.   ❜ a sigh tumbles from her lips and she narrows her gaze at him, fingers pressed into her GLOVED palm. the last thing she wanted was to engage into another brawl with a man that she was done dealing with. she has other important things to attend to.

         fingers are attending to a flower bouquet on the counter, tendrils of her short black hair falling across her forehead. despite POPULAR BELIEF, dinah didn’t spend all of her time fighting bad guys in fishnets and boots. she had a shop, a business to take care of. ( and surprise -- her natural hair color wasn’t blonde. ) her gaze flickers up once she hears the door open, a hint of a smile playing across her lips. ❛   hi there.   ❜

         there were plenty things dinah’s heard and seen while wasting time on the WATCHTOWER -- from whispered gossip, to fights that accumulated to fist fights, from even the occasional sucking face. ( she likes to pretend the last one never happened. ) which is why it’s so SURPRISING when she turns to the flash with a disturbed look on her face. ❛   what did you say?   ❜
