This will go by the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for borderline personality disorder, since the DSM-V depends a lot on getting to know the person in question and making a more systematic judgment than just seeing whether you can check off certain boxes, but Prowl is a fictional character, so checking off boxes it is. Basically, a minimum of five of the nine following conditions would qualify him for diagnosis with BPD.

I’m going to try to keep this kind of brief, because Transformers has so much material, and Prowl is spread out over the whole mess, but I do want to back this up with canon citations. So I’ll sprinkle screencaps around as appropriate, but I’m trying not to get too out of hand.
