I have heard countless times that it’s rare for a Filipino to be hired in a PR&Marketing position. That being said, I am often anxious and intimidated in attending big gatherings in the city. However, the introvert me went out of the box and gathered up all my confidence to be able to fly high with my career this year. Having a big smile on my face—I realized none of these people in the photo are my present collegues now. All are from different hotels and industries that I have worked with before. Three years— before I got back to the Hospitality industry. When I got the opportunity, it was like a dream come true. However, that dream was put to an end. I asked myself if this is what I really wanted? Or even wondered, maybe this is not the Lord’s plan for me? But each night I pray hard to my heart’s desire and I let Him lead the way. I have faith in His promises and now I am amazed on how perfect His timing is. I may have struggled in my previous job, but now I understand why He let me experience that. Today, I am grateful, Jesus lives in my heart, and I trust him all the way.
