A Silent Sundays Happy 130th Birthday To the stunning Barbara La Marr, AKA "The Girl Who Is Too Beautiful". One of the wilder Flappers she drank, did lots of coke, married 4 or 5 times (one not legal) and bragged that she only slept three hours a night making films with titles like "The White Moth", "Flame Of Youth", "Land Of Jazz", "Souls For Sale" & "Heart Of A Siren". She was no bimbo though, she actually started out as a writer until Mary Pickford said she was "Too Beautiful" not to be a star. She slowed down her party girl ways a bit after becoming a mother but died of tuberculosis and complications of too many diet pills aged 29 in 1926. A few of her films survive.
