He takes her hand and gives it a little squeeze "All shit aside, it's kinda hard for me to talk about chick flick stuff so I'll just say that you shouldn't let them get you down either, you're not so bad."

“It’s not like that at all Scout, I just want to be selfish and have you all to myself. The people in Hawkin High will only try and fuck things up for us and I don’t want to lose you to that shit and besides that, you’re the only good friend that I have so no sharing with anybody.” Billy chuckles and then shakes his head at her “See, I told you I’m bad at this shit.”

“I would be happy to tell people that we are friends but you’re going to have to deal with the attention that it’s going to get you from even the most unpopular kid in that high school because you know everyone is going to have something to say about it even if we don’t give two tin shits.” Billy looks at her and then nods his head “I’ll just be my same asshole self, but I know that you don’t really like the attention.”

Billy looks at her with a thoughtful look on his face “Have you ever thought about what us going out together might be like? I mean we’re such good friends already it would seem like the next step.”

❝billy,you forget that i’m everyone’s favorite to bully and humiliate. i’ve known these assholes since kindergarten. i can take whatever the throw at me. it’s you i’m worried about.❞she laughs lightly,finding it silly she’s worried about him getting shit rather than herself. he earned his crown,you could say,and she knew it was an act - sure,but would he be willing to risk that? for her? the thoughts kept turning in her head.

He can't see anything but they have to take the time to stop and at least get a bandage on Scout's wound. Xavier guides her over to a tree and stands her against it while examining the wound and cursing "Yeah, you are. He got you good and deep too."

“Scout, that son of a bitch will have to come through me first to get to you, after all I did just fix you up the best I can but you’re losing a lot of blood and I don’t know if we can get you out of here in time or not and the bad thing is I don’t think any of the rest of us are going to make it either.” Xavier wraps his arm around her shoulder and pulls her up from the ground as gently as he possibly can.

“Which way do you think that we should move in Scout? I know we don’t want to go back the way we came but I also know that the cars or what’s left of them are going to be in that direction. I doubt that any of them are going to be in working condition, but we have to try. I need to get you to a hospital.”

“You can’t go off and die on me. I would then have to do something stupid like be a hero for another one of our friends and die too because I don’t think I can make it without you Scout. I always have loved you and you can’t die without me following you.”

keeping the jacket on herself,applying as much pressure as she can muster,she goes along with the little hope he has left for her surviving this nightmare,❝i-i think we should go right,isn’t that where the nurse’s office is? shit,i can’t even remember. it’s all so fuzzy right now. i think it’s a little too late for a hospital,x. i’m bleeding even with your jacket. it’s soaked.❞the other ghosts stayed behind,simply watching with sad looks on their faces and scout watched them disappear,probably to warn the others - wherever they were. maybe xavier and scout were the last one’s alive.

 wobbling beside him hand still pressed against her wound,she nods in agreement,heart hurts at the look on his face,she fakes a small smile which he can probably notice is fake,❝you’re gonna do something stupid anyways,x. a-and if i don’t make it,you at least move on and get the fuck out of LA. i-i love you too,i always have and a-alway will.❞
