one week ago today, our family grew just a bit bigger. tripp, natalia and jessa gained a baby brother and my heart grew leaps and bounds i never imagined it could. zeus xavier has been the greatest gift and i’m not sure how to exactly put it into words. i place all the credit to my fiancée for being the stable, strong and confident woman that she is to have kept me grounded when she had no obligation to. i’m so lucky to be doing life with you, babe. i don’t deserve you or the family we have. but i’m forever thankful.

Corinna looked at AJ and smiled “Why aren’t you sitting over here with you? They call this the family bed, come lay with me,” she said moving over a little bit as the nurse brought in their little boy, all wrapped up in a warm blanket with a little hat on his head “Congratulations on your beautiful little boy, he was 7 pounds, 6 ounces, 16 inches long,” the woman said putting the little boy in Corinna’s arms as she held him “A pound and an ounce bigger than both your sisters,” she giggled as she held her son in her arms and admired him. “He’s got your nose,” the blonde said looking at AJ and rubbed her thumb over the baby’s cheek “I never thought I’d have a little boy, I am feeling so over the moon right now, he just needs a name now,”

Corinna wiped the tears from her eyes as she looked at AJ and then down at the baby who the nurses were cleaning up and wiping off. “He’s so beautiful, AJ, my first boy, my son,” she said with a sob as she looked at the little boy on her chest “He’s so perfect, oh my god,” Corinna said as she watched them take the baby over to weigh him and clean him up a little better and started giving him a bath as they took care of the afterbirth “Should we get mama back into the gown and into bed?” the midwife asked as Corinna nodded standing up “My uterus still feels so heavy,” she laughed as she stepped out of the tub and one of the assistances wiped her body off and grabbed a robe for her to put on. “A robe for you too, Dad,” the woman said with a smile as she handed AJ the fuzzy robe to put on.

Corinna looked at AJ “Babe, just do what makes you feel comfortable, if you want to stay right there and not undress in front of all these women that’s fine, the choice is yours,” Corinna said as she leaned her head against AJ’s arm as she felt another contraction hit but then the sudden urge to push was very much there and Corinna took a deep breath “I need to push now, there’s no waiting,” she said as the midwife looked at Corinna “Go ahead, honey, push as long as you can,” she said as Corinna took a big deep breath and began to push “I can feel the head crowning, good job, mama, we’re almost there, push sweetheart,” the older woman said as Corinna had to stop for a moment and take a break “You’ve got the head almost out, can you push for me again, mama?” she asked as Corinna started to push again and let out a little bit of a cry of pain but after that she felt relief and that’s when the midwife brought the baby up setting the little life whose cries filled the room on Corinna’s chest “Dad, do you want to be the one to cut the cord?” the woman asked as she smiled at AJ. 

Corinna nodded “Baby calls the shots here, this is their world and we just live in it huh?” she commented as the woman came back in “We’re ready for you to come join us, seems like you might need to push soon,” the older woman said as she escorted them to the bathtub and Corinna removed the gown to reveal the bra she kept on and sat down in the water “Now, dad, you can choose to get in too or sit on the side of the side, the choice is completely yours,” the blonde said a few other women came into the room to assist as Corinna laid her head back “See I told you the pain would catch up to me,” the blonde said with a laugh looking up to her fiancee.
