It wasn’t too long before Kol came back with his witch girlfriend. You knew how much it hurt to be uncompelled, and to say you were scared would be an understatement. But you really hated the fact that your best friend let it happen in the first place.

“So y/n… you know the drill, this is going to hurt like a bitch… so just try to breathe, and I’ll get this done as fast as I can,” Davina said trying to make this all a little better, which kinda helped but you were still scared. “Yeah I know… just hurry up,” you shakily let out and Davina gave you a sorry smile before she stared.

It wasn’t long before you started screaming in pain. You’ve been through this before, but for some reason, it hurt way more this time. Then the memories came back, like a dam had just broken in a river.

*flashback*

“Klaus? What’re you doing here?” You whispered opening your window. “I’m here to save you, luv,” Klaus smiled climbing through. “Damon and Elena will hear you, and I know she’d try to kill both of us,” you said.

“She can’t kill me, you know that,” Klaus smiled cupping your cheek, looking into your eyes. Blushing, you smiled and responded, “Klaus- you’re doing it again.” “Doing what?” “Staring,” you laughed quietly before you and Klaus kissed before you heard someone walking upstairs. “Shit- get out, hide- do something!” You whisper-yelled at the hybrid. “Okay okay breathe,” Klaus whispered back before hiding.

“Y/n? Who are you talking to?” You heard Damon ask. “Myself,” you stated and you heard Damon laugh before took a breath out. “Can we talk?” He asked and you sighed. “Yeah- sure,” you opened the door. “Y/n… I’m so sorry… I know I’ve been a dick and what not- but I’m really sorry,” Damon said before hugging you and you hugged him back. “It’s okay, just don’t tell Stefan,” you laughed. “Why not?” “He’ll know you’ve gone soft,” you smiled and he messed up your hair. “I gotta go, see ya later sis,” Damon kissed your forehead before leaving. Then Klaus came back out. He told you to meet him at the grille when you knew the cost was clear and that’s what you did.

After a kinda long walk to the grille, you finally got there and walked in to see the worst thing you thought you’d never see. Klaus and Caroline were making out.

“Yo Donovan- you see that?” You questioned Matt before he turned around and saw your best friend/ his girlfriend making out with Klaus. “What the hell Caroline?” Matt practically yelled across the grille causing almost everyone to look. “Matt- I- Klaus kissed me!” Caroline defended herself and Klaus didn’t say anything.

You scoffed before walking out of the grille, with Klaus following behind you. “Y/n! Please hear me out!” “Hmm, no.” You said and Klaus vamp sped you against a tree. “What the hell klaus!” You yelled. “Listen to me! I love you! More than anything in this world! Caroline lied! I didn’t kiss her, she kissed me and I just couldn’t stop. I’m sorry,” Klaus sighed and you laughed. “If you did love me- you would’ve stopped,” you stated before using your magic to get back to the Mikaelson mansion.

“What’s wrong with you?” Your best friend questioned from his position on the couch. “Your dumbass, full of himself, should get daggered, hybrid bitch, of a brother,” you groaned, laying on the couch with him. “What did Nik do this time?” Kol questioned, and you sat up. “We bloody kissed last night! HE TOLD ME HE LOVED ME! Then he told me to meet him at the grille; I did, and HE WAS MAKING OUT WITH CAROLINE WHEN I GOT THERE,” you said, nearly crying, and Elijah heard you and went into the living room. “He what?!”Kol said, more intrigued and pissed. “He kissed me- then-” you started again before Elijah cut you off.

“Kol understands that- I think he’s just shocked. Niklaus is in-love with you. So I don’t know why he would do that- and he couldn’t have been compelled,” Elijah added to the conversation. Then Rebekah walked in. “That’s not like Nik. Especially when it comes to you, he really does love you Y/n/n,” Rebekah said. “Well I love him- but after seeing him and Care… i can’t look at him, and he told me how much he loves me but I don’t believe him anymore,” you sighed and Rebekah gave you a look you knew all too well. Klaus had just walked in and heard almost everything.

“Good to know we feel the same way, luv,” Klaus said way too soon and you got up and walked out of the house, ignoring him, and you had Elijah and Kol behind you.

“What do you idiots want?” You asked. “We should compel you…” Elijah sighed. “What?! No! We have Three rules Elijah! Three! Ones already been broken! We gotta keep at least one!” Kol argued. “Think about it Kol, we compel her to forget everything, all of us, all of the heart break, everything,”Elijah suggested. “What?! No! Lijah you can’t do that to me!” You fought. “I mean, Y/n/n it’ll be better that you don’t know all of this,” Kol said. “What?! Kol! No! We made promises and I promise to keep them!” “It’s better for you Y/n!” Elijah yelled.

“If you Do it, I let Damon turn me and I turn it off. You can reverse compulsion. You can’t reverse getting turned,” you said with seriousness in your voice, which obviously wasn’t usual for you. “Brother- How bout we just compel her to forget what happened tonight, and what Klaus said and all the feelings,” Elijah added and Kol sighed before compelling you to forgot what had just happened and what happened the night before and your feelings for Klaus.

*end of flashback*

Then all of a sudden, you jolt up. “Oh my god- KOL! YOU BARELY GAVE ME A CHOICE! WHAT THE HELL MAN!” You yelled. “Please hear me out! It was better that you forgot everything! And I’m not trying to keep you human- because I know what you want but I just- I lose everything to Klaus! And I am not losing my best friend to him!” Kol cried and you knew where he was coming from and hugged him. “It’s okay Kol… I guess you were kinda right… it would’ve been better,” you sighed.

“Luv? Can we talk?” Klaus said softly and you looked up Kol who was giving you a do it face before he got dragged out by his girlfriend who closed the door.

“Kol I promise you- I feel fine,” you pushed at your best friend who was trying to get into your apartment. “Y/n, I know you. And I know you’re lying,” Kol huffed and you laughed.

The last couple of days you have been finding your attention more towards the one and only Klaus Mikealson instead of your best friend. And you probably wouldn’t care if you hadn’t have a set of rules in your friendship- which, one of them is “Klaus is off limits.” Not Kol’s siblings but just Klaus which probably didn’t help. So now, you’re hiding in your apartment- away from Klaus.

“So then why can’t we hang out,” Kol questioned. “I just don’t want to,” you groaned and that clicked something in Kol’s brain and he pushed the door wide open. “You like him, don’t you?” Kol blurted causing you to be confused. “Huh? What’re you talking about?” “You. Like. Klaus.” Kol said slowly. “No. I. Do. Not.” You said in the same tone. “I’m a vampire idiot, I can hear your heart,” Kol rolled his eyes. “Well I don’t like Klaus, lock the door when you leave, bye bye,” you grabbed get keys to your Jeep and ran to it, before driving to your brothers house. Before realizing they lived in a way far away state, you ended up driving to the abattoir where you ran into Klaus.

“Sorry Nik,” you squeaked out. “It’s alright luv, what’re you doing here without your butt buddy?” “I think we’re in a fight? I don’t know, it’s been a good hundred years without one.” You sighed and Klaus kinda smiled. “What’s this fight about?” “It’s about who ate the last cookie,” you lied hoping he wouldn’t be able to tell. “Hmm, isn’t that what the last one was about?” Klaus looked at you as if he were telling you, that he knew you were lying. “Yup- now HIDE ME,” you nearly screamed when you heard Kol. “Okay okay come on Luv,” Klaus smirked.

“Y/N PLEASE! IM NOT MAD! I just wanna talk!”

The youngest Mikaelson yelled walking into the abattoir. Which sadly woke up Elijah, who has been stressed trying to make sure nothing happens to you. “KOL! What is the meaning of you yelling?!” The older brother yelled walking to the balcony. “Just looking for Y/n…” Kol said shifting back and forth from his heels. “What? You’re not together? And I thought you were joined at the hip,” Elijah laughed before walking down to his little brother. “Yes yes we’re best friends and what not… we’re just in a little fight,” Kol sighed and Elijah was shocked. “What? What’s this fight about?” Gulping and obviously lying, Kol mutters, “who ate the last cookie.” “Wasn’t that what the last fight was about?” Elijah question and the youngest Mikaelson vigorously shook his head yes, before hearing you scream.

“Love? What’s wrong?” Klaus said running into where you were hiding. “Spiders, a crap ton of spiders,” you breathed out before Kol and Elijah ran in. “Y/N?! What did Klaus do?! Are you okay?” Kol questioned running over to you.

“He didn’t do anything Kol. It was spiders,” you said shuttering at the thought of what happened a few seconds before. “Bloody hell Y/n- you screamed louder than when Elena and Caroline tried to kill You,” Kol breathed out hugging you. “Kol- did you have to remind me that my best friends tried to kill me? It’s not the best memory I have-” you laughed into the hug.

“Now brother- why would you think I would do anything to Y/n? I mean she’s practically family… is she not?” Klaus questioned and Kol let go of the hug. “She is family- I just don’t trust you!” Kol said and you finally figured out that Kol doesn’t trust what Klaus would to you if you were to be together.

“Kol breathe… come on,” you said while grabbing your best friends hand. “No no, we’re doing this,” Kol angrily let out. “No Kol- We.Are.Not!” You said just as angry knowing what he was about to do. So you grabbed his hand harder and yanked him out of the house, as far out of ear shot as you could pull him.

“Let me kill him!” Kol said. “Why?! He hasn’t done anything to me because you won’t let him!” “But he has! And then Elijah and I felt so horrible about what happened, we compelled you to Forget!” Kol yelled and you just stood there. He broke the one rule you had in your friendship and that was he would never keep anything from you nor have you compelled. “You’re such a bloody dick! I rather Damon kill me than to be compelled!” You yelled back walking away from your best friend. “Y/n! No wait-” Kol Started after you- but you had put up a barrier during your fight that no vampire could get past. Then you used your magic to teleport to Mystic Falls.

Running up to your brothers’ house, you banged on the door. And not much to your surprise, Elena opened the door. “What’re you doing here?” Elena scoffed. “I am here for my brother, this has nothing to do with you,” you barged through the door and Elena gasped. You laughed, “I’m not a vampire Elena.”

“Y/n?!” You heard a voice ask and you turned around. “Stefan?!” And at the same time you both said, “I thought you were dead?!” “You thought I was dead? Damon, before he let Caroline and Elena attempt to kill me, said you died… because of me,” you blinked away forming tears. “Y/n… I’m not dead- wait- Damon let them try to kill you!?” Stefan yelled. “Surprise?” You said before Damon walked into the room, also shocked to see Stefan.

“You tried to kill our baby sister?!” Stefan said majorly pissed. “Well… it was more of Elena and Caroline… and she’s on the Mikaelson side!” Damon attempted to defend what he had tried. “So?! That doesn’t mean you kill OUR. BABY. SISTER!” Stefan yelled the end. “I DIDNT WANT HER DEAD! OKAY?!Shes my best friend! She’s the only one who didn’t leave me when I turned it off! I probably would be dead if it wasn’t for her! It’s just what Elena wanted and I lost control and I stopped it before she died!” Damon cried and you hugged him and Elena decided to stand up.

“Okay okay guys- I wanted to kill her to get back at Klaus- Caroline tried to because she was jealous,”Elena added making everything worse for her.

“Okay okay! Enough! Elena just kill me and gets it over with!” You looked at your eldest brother’s girlfriend before Stefan stood between you two. “No! No one is killing anyone!” Stefan said and the mikealsons bursted through.

“Finally Stefeno! We agree on something!” Kol smiled and then looked at you. “Y/n, you’re insane.” “Not as insane as you my guy,” you smiled. “Alright- you’re too okay with the fact you came here to be murdered by Elena- and that says a lot coming from me,” Klaus said and looked at you.

“And we know that you weren’t really fighting over who ate the last cookie- either fight,” Elijah smirked and you visibly gulped. “Well… I’m out- see you guys at Christmas, I’ll probably kill you later Elena, bye,” you huffed walking outside, before being grabbed by Klaus. Who then vamped you both back to New Orleans.

“Klaus! How times have I told you not to-” Klaus cut you off by kissing you, to which you gladly kissed back. “If you ever, give yourself up to someone who wants to kill you, so help me I will lock you in a room,” Klaus said putting his forehead on yours.

“Good to know you like me back,” you laughed knowing that this was not the time. “Like you? I bloody love you,” Klaus smiled before you kissed again.

“As much as I love this- I’m still mad over the fact I was compelled,” you said kinda ruining the moment. And before Klaus could respond- the rest of the Mikealsons walked in.

“I guess we can undo the compulsion,” Elijah softly said- getting a look from Klaus in return.

Smirking, Kol responded, “I’ll grab Davina.”
