Meaning “don’t ask me about Alex, I’m doing my own thing”. And perhaps even “I don’t want to think about him or that summer”.

A Dealer (doesn’t just have to be in relation to drugs, could relate to alcohol, friendship, affection), a Father (could be his dad or a religious reference or both), and a Doctor (physical and mental health). Roles that offer support, guidance – basically whatever you need. But Miles is rejecting all of them, rejecting everyone’s help and wanting isolation.

The song then spirals into the despair and frustration of being let down and getting nothing back.
