It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that Touya doesn’t like the girls in his family. Both of them (according to his warped perception) told him to just stop his goal and move on, not really showing any empathy for his plight outside of being hurt by his quirk.
It also wouldn’t surprise me if Touya resented Rei for inheriting her weakness to heat and also maybe being a very hands off parent with him.
To me, it’s looking a lot like Touya also inherited a fragile state of mind since he has so much ambition to be the ‘hero’ Endeavor wanted him to be but no matter where he turned everyone said he couldn’t.
Part of me is also realling over the parallels between Touya/Dabi and Deku(my two favorite characters). They both were told they couldn’t be heroes with their disadvantages (a quirk that harms the user and being quirkless to having a quirk that harms the user)
And they both trained excessively to work with their quirk (Touya disregarding his self harm in order to make his flames stronger while Deku worked around his self harm to slowly build up tolerance) I think what differenciates between them is SUPPORT.
Deku had All Might, his mom and even friends who supported his goals and helped him with his set back while Touya was just told to stop and find something else to do with his time/life.
Touya has/had a lot of ambition. Even as Dabi he said that those with ambition can change the world, but with the lack of support and refusing to be seen for what he wanted to be by the people who were suppose to support him warped that ambition into something negative.
I personally want to see where exactly stain comes into play in Dabi/Touya’s goals and plans other than being the final piece to initiate his plan.
Bring this back because MHA ended and WHAT THE FUCK WE NEVER GOT TO SEE HOW STAIN INFLUENCED DABI?? Like Stain was the whole reason why Dabi joined the league/became a villain and that was never touched on???
