I think probably the easiest sign that society's obsession with thinness is not about health, as they so love to claim, is that you're not supposed to wear clothes that make you look fatter. Literally nothing about your body or health changes by putting on a horizontally striped shirt or a skirt that doesn't give the illusion of an hourglass figure. And yet.

I have literally dropped weight due to illness to the point where if I did more I would need to monitor and consider a medical fix, and that is when I got the most compliments on my clothes and body. (I’m okay now! Yay!) Most (not all!) the people you see on your screens are starving, I have to assume
