Cyprien’s brow furrowed with concern, and he rose to face his friend. “Are you sure? I mean, I don’t mind you being bad company, mate, believe me…” Cyprien said with a slight smile, rather unsure of himself. Surely people hadn’t been talking about him with James, though, right? They hadn’t done anything anyways.Â
“I just don’t think we have much to talk about,” Severus scratched his head he was unsure about the night, “I mean you seem to be just fine with your new…” Severus searched for the word,”friend, I guess.” Severus began to feel uncomfortable, he felt like a page was turning in their friendship, he could tell Cyprien didn’t want to see it. Severus rubbed his eyes for the sake of their friendship he didn’t want to swept this under the rug, but lately thats all Severus seemed to be doing. “There are just somethings I guess are better left alone,” Severus said tight lipped.Â
Cyprien's expression deepened in its concern. "What... What're you talking about? You can tell me whatever's on your mind..." Was Severus in trouble? Was Cyprien in trouble with Severus? Severus had never been the most open individual as far as his feelings went, but well-trained Cyprien picked up immediately that there was something very, very wrong.

“Oh, it was fine,” Cyprien replied, still smiling. “Where’re you headed then? I could walk you, or if you wanted to take a seat…?” There was something clearly on Severus’ mind. Hopefully none of those ridiculous girls he’d danced with had done anything to him.
Severus couldn’t help but laugh at his causal answer, whether it was lack of sleep or from the situation itself, he couldn’t help but laugh not really caring that it sounded a bit rude. At this point he was growing tired of delicately broaching the one thing that plagued their friendship, which was clearly how different they were. A pain shot through his head, he rubbed his forehead wincing, “I was going to see if I could, you know what never mind maybe I should just go back to my room.” Severus couldn’t even look at Cyprien, he never really cared who his friend kept company but he wondered what the hell he was thinking with James. “I am not much company, but I’m glad you had good time.”

Cyprien didn’t see him at first, but recognized his step immediately across the floor. He turned eagerly to greet his friend, glad to see him upright. “Hello there, Sev. Have a good night?” he asked, smiling his usual easy smile. So far it had been a pretty good day, it must be said.
Severus perked up at his name and closed his eyes tightly before turning around and facing Cyprien, with a fake smile he turned to his friend, “Hello Cyprien, I was just going to you know.” Severus saw how happy Cyprien looked, after last night was he really surprised, apparently the marauders could give Cyprien something he couldn’t. Severus was never one to dance around the issues, either he ignored it or faced it and today he just wanted to get this over with. “So how was your night last night,” Severus looked him dully.

“Oh. That’s a shame, I would have liked another dance,” Cyprien replied with a smile, reaching to serve himself oatmeal. Yesss. He took some of it, added a fair share of fruit, and regained his seat, again smiling at Peter. “Did you have a good time while you were there, though? You left pretty abruptly.”
Peter put down the fork he didn’t realize he was death gripping. He took a deep breath and looked Cyprien straight in the face. “Do you like James?” he asked up front, able to feel his ears burning. His hands were shaking slightly, so he grabbed onto his fork once more to hide that fact. “Because I should warn you that he’s still hung up on Lily.” He should not be divulging this information to anyone, but if Cyprien did have feelings for James, he certainly deserved to know that they wouldn’t get reciprocated.Â
"What? Oh... We're friends..." Cyprien offered neutrally, unsure on where this was coming from. He was still further confused by the clearly-obvious statement to follow. "Er... No, Lily, Lily and I are friends, I wouldn't..." He had no idea what was going on between James and Lily, but he certainly wouldn't get in their way by any means. Cyprien turned a bit, giving Peter an odd look. Did Peter like James..? Was that what this was about? Those rumors had been lurking for years, God knew. "Ah, why do you ask?"

Alright! So yesterday I was sitting in a common area, minding my own business, when a few people took a seat near me. Not a big deal, and I didn't notice them until their conversation turned to LGBTQ and Chik-fil-A.
I dunno if you guys heard, but our gay club is proposing to get Chik-fil-A off campus for its support of hate groups (I spoke at the proposal woo). It's pretty cool and it's made national headlines. Perez Hilton even covered it, as well as CNN and Fox News.

My friend Emily is even doing a livestream today at 12:30 with the Huffington Post, if you wanted to hear more about it.
Anyways, they were discussing this and gays in a pretty offensive way. But despite the terms they were using and what they were talking about (people choosing to be gay, how conversion therapy is a good thing...), it was pretty clear that they were genuinely having a conversation, not out to be offensive. They were kind of...bouncing ideas off one another.Â
So I bit back my anger and went over to talk with them!
And we had a totally decent discussion! I was polite and answered a whole bunch of questions (some were a bit out there), and it was really cool! Two of them didn't seem affected, but the other two were really listening to me.
Anyways, I thought that was the end of that, but apparently it was not. This morning at breakfast I was minding my own, eating a cinnamon biscuit (!!), when one of the girls I was talking with came up to me. She asked for my name and to add me on FB, and said she was really interested in talking with me more.
So I am elated, and wanted to share this with everyone.

Just Like You || Cyperus
Cyprien spent the great portion of the Saturday after the dance on his broom. Although there was no practice (even Malfoy had to admit his heavily hungover players wouldn’t gain much from waking early), it had been a very nice day to play. A light breeze was phenomenal for Quidditch. Less so for frozen players, but it made for a good practice, and Cyprien came into the Common windswept and smiling, having missed the rumor mill’s fierce churning in his absence.Â
He took a seat in front of the fire, warming his cold bones, and smiling. It was easy enough to ignore the whispers of the younger students. He’d been doing it for years.
Severus needed some fresh air, the pain was now just a dull ache radiating from his temples. Severus grabbed his bag and a jacket, and begged the gods that he didn’t run into anyone from here to the courtyard, hopefully everyone was nursing their hangovers still or trying to leave unsuspected from the multitude of one night stands that probably went on last night. The thought made him shutter, all of his peers were way oversexed thinking with their pricks rather then there heads. Surely, their school boy crushes would one day be their demise. On the forefront of his mind was his own friend, whose choices in whom he associates with was starting to wear on Severus, it appeared the two friends were starting on two divergent paths.Â
Severus always realized this would happen eventually it happened with Lily, why not Cyprien but if what people said are true he feared that the damage from this fallout would cause irreparable damage. Severus never had a problem with what went on behind Cyprien’s closed doors, he tolerated Peter, but this new conquest was going to far. Severus walked it the commons and stopped cold, with his head down he walked to the door, maybe Cyprien haven’t seen him.Â

Cyprien made his way from Gryffindor Tower slowly, his thoughts elsewhere. He’d walked James up from the dungeons without much thought, and he continued not to think much of the significance of their evening together. Nothing had happened, after all, so what was there to worry about? Cyprien slipped off from the Tower pretty quickly, absolutely starving. Perhaps there would be oatmeal out..? The kind with fruit in it? Cyprien smiled just thinking of it.
He made his way to the dungeons first to pull on a jacket, as it was colder than it should have been, before walking into the Great Hall. He caught sight of Peter, and, being in a good mood, decided he could take whatever shit his ex-boyfriend threw at him. Cyprien made his way over and took a seat, smiling easily at Peter. “G’morning.”
Peter bit back a sigh, knowing who had taken the seat next to him before he had even heard his voice. How could Cyprien do that? But, thinking back, he couldn’t know how Peter was feeling, or what it felt like to see him kissing his best mate. It was tough, so he took a shaky breath and kept his eyes on his breakfast that he’d barely picked at.
“Hi…” he breathed, looking at Cyprien with such hurt in his eyes. He quickly averted his gaze, not wanting to show this one weakness of his, not wanting to seem like a baby or, well, just weak at all. “I came back last night. But…but you were dancing with someone else. So I left.”

Severus woke up again with another splitting headache, the different combinations of the potions he was taking, really self-medicating himself were starting to take its toll on him. He stumbled out of bed; catching himself in the mirror he looked sickly and frail. Everything seemed to have gone from bad to worse, Severus relationship with his father had completely deteriorated since his mother’s death, and Tobias took to drinking hard. After that night with Lucy and the subsequent rumors she had fled back home. Will offered him the chance of a lifetime, unbelievable power and allies. Lately he was feeling stifled by his own friend Cyprien and with Lily out of the picture Severus felt isolated.Â

Peter had seen it happen. And he couldn’t get the image out of his head. He had almost cried himself to sleep the night before, barely able to stop himself. He found his eyes puffy and red even as he woke up in the morning, sure that some tears had escaped him as he slept. He shook his head, flattened his hair, and stepped out of the dorm, ignoring the sinking in his chest as he saw James’ bed empty.
As if on cue, James stepped through the portrait hole at that minute. Peter glared at him, then averted his eyes. How could he do that to him? They were supposed to be friends. Best friends, But so much for that.
