Guardian Angel Starscream 6
-Guardian angel Starscream would be so petty when you're beefing with someone.
-He's a ride or die in that he is practically gleeful when given the chance to be a hater, and will absolutely shit on your enemies without a shred of guilt
-You used to feel bad, or frightened even, to think all those mean things about people even when they were horrible to you
-But Starscream has no such qualms and has petty, oddly specific, and hilariously accurate insults at the ready
-Wishes the worst on your enemies, the punishments getting more and more creative and himself more and more gleeful as he goes
-You'd worriedly asked him to tone it down at first, feeling guilty for thinking such things, they were people after all.
-"Pah," He said. "Do you think they'd extend the same courtesy to you?"
-So maybe cussing out your opps and making catty comments with Starscream brought your much more relief.
-It was better than swallowing the hurt and letting it fester into a storm of helpless rage in your chest.
-Sometimes it's just a fight.
-Maybe with a friend, maybe with someone you were meant to be able to trust.
-After the fight, you always have to tell Starscream it's okay, it's good now
-And he's always suspicious of that, still speaks of those individuals with disdain
-Because he alone saw how hurt you'd been
-And for you to just move on without exacting justice for yourself grated at him.
-He also sees how many times the same people hurt you, and how you always go back to them.
-Perhaps he hates seeing the mirror image of himself in you.
-Hates that you're so alike, because you feel the same pain he does. And it's not pleasant. He doesn't want you to be like him. He's not meant to look at you and see himself. You're too small and squishy for this amount of pain.
-That his charge feels that way is an affront to his ability to keep you functional, and Starscream does not accept slights.
-He is surprised to learn it goes both ways.
-You now know, from his ramblings, who his opps are - and the fact that you decided "yeah, we hate them" was a bold show of loyalty and trust.
-His lip curls when he sees one of them, as you're out on a depression walk.
-"Boo Soundwave!" You jeer, in the completely wrong direction to where the blue mech was standing.
-"Precisely. And you should see how he acts in the presence of Megatron. He-" Starscream pauses, as if realizing the sense of triumphant validation in his spark was suspiciously foreign.
-"...You don't even know him," Starscream snorts. Sure, he could have just been pleased at your immediate show of blind support - but it unsettled him how easy it had been. And so he just had to open his big intake and question why you'd done that.
-"Well, you hate him. So we hate him."
-"... You are a fool. Blind trust like that will get you killed."
-"Well, I trust you. Your opp is my opp."
-"You are profoundly easy to manipulate. I will have to vet your inner circle once more."
-He grumbles and tosses a few more threats your way, but his clawed servo tightens on your arm as he steers you on.
-He doesn't protest the next time you jeer at his enemies, and even indulges you in detailed descriptions of appearances so you too can invent some insults of your own.
-Yes, you don't know them. But you rather enjoy the way Starscream settles after your little show of support, the snarl on his lips relaxing into a smirk at your little comments.
-At least he'll always be in your corner, and you in his.
