Light In The Birdcage

I haven’t written down a dream in what feels like a decade. I don’t even know how to write this one down, it just feels like I should. I tried writing it in my dream even.

I was trying to find my keys and shoes they were in when I realized I was dreaming. Looking around me, I was at what seemed to be a coffee shop/venue. Musicians were playing in the room I was in, sitting at a table with others. I walked throughout the building trying to find my shoes and saw different sections of this building. Each section was a different group, different musicians, artists, just community in general. That’s when I saw his art on the walls. 3 ladies were in awe and confused. I joined them and told them that you were once my partner and that I was proud of you. Your art was beautiful. There were sketchbooks, words, everything displayed. I felt myself wishing I could hug you and I turned around and there you were. I cried in your arms and I swear it felt so real. I could smell you. Truly bizarre and realistic. The rest of the dream was just being there together. I can’t really describe much more because my mind is now drawing a blank and Marlowe is starting to try to get my attention.

But, it was beautiful and that feeling will stay with me for a while.

Finally have my family all here 🤍 couldn’t be more grateful.
