Next stop Montpellier! : #cyclobiblio
Ali Afshari, my Stockholm Public Library collegue and Cycling for Libraries partner-in-crime, proudly represented Sweden at the recent Baltic Star tour in the amazing baltic countries, and he will do the same at the upcoming #cyclobiblio in beautiful south France. I'm sure it will be an outstanding experience thanks to Lara Jovignot and the other amazing people in the French crew!
I would so very much have liked to join on both these tours but due to family and money reasons, unfortunately I had to cancel. But I follow the crowd from a distance and after the Montpellier-Lyon tour I will meetup with Ali and a lot of other bibliocyclists at the IFLA Congress in Lyon. That makes me happy! And I will of course take any opportunity i can to bike around Lyon ;)
Btw: at IFLA I will give a presentation on Public Libraries and Connected Learning, and immediately afterwards Flore Allemandou (a local "mozillian"), and I, will host a Maker Party for all librarians who want to build and remix the web for libraries, and learn and teach web literacy. The event is sponsored by the Mozilla Foundation and it will hopefully attract some of the web nerds attending IFLA. So, all you cycling bibliohackers attending IFLA, hope to see you there! :)
