Emu is captured.

And her team doesn't take it well.

Within the world of CybreRock, there are things called "cyber shells". These are gear items, and add significant protection to you. Primarily, they're used to add armour to animal traits, though sometimes Humans wear them for places such as the chest or groin area just for safety.

Emu's ears have a custom set made by the Asahina's ((reminder that Mafuyu was adopted by the Asahina's in this AU, so the last name isn't void's birth one)). Her tail is non-existent, and why will be covered in the fic at some point.

Emu has an overwhelm of guilt, most prominently from accidentally killing Daybreak. So, she tries to make it so nothing like that can happen again.

No recorded documentation is around for how they came to be in the world itself. So, while it has a backstory, not a single person in the universe of CybreRock knows...

Buuut, if you went back in time, to when around when the first one was found... The ancestors of the Otori and Aoyagi families biologically created them. The first ever was essentially just a lycanthrope (werewolf). Originally the purpose was to make "ethical slaves" or simply just to make soldiers, but over time, the beastfolk evolved to be by all actual means equal to normal humans.

The Rebels do not have as kind a living situation as the Syndicate, but they have a more complex structure as well.

The Rebellion has created an underground sanctuary just under the sewers. It's not nearly as nice as the actual city, but it's the width of the city and safe.

Most rooms are out-coves with sheets for doors and a small bell outside to substitute knocking.

Rebels can choose to live alone or with someone else, most who belong to a Squad choosing to live with one or all of their squad mates.

Yes! All of Squad CGO uses the trained cards from the Close Game/Offline game event in Project SEKAI (their code names are also the Costume Names for Nene, Toya and Emu).

And both in the costume and trained card art, Toya's left arm (right in the image facing the viewer) has a cybernetic prosthetic or cybernetic shell of some sort.

I'll give you a 2 for one special here.

The Rebellion units (with canon characters) are:

• CGO (Nene, Touya, Emu, Akito)

• Nightshade (Ena, Mafuyu, Mizuki, Kanade)

• Flyway (Honami, Len, Luka, Miku)

Saki is not on a Squad.

The Syndicate has no real method of making their groups, but theirs are:

• Meiko and Kaito

• Tsukasa and Rui

• An and Kohane

• More More Jump

• Ichika and Shiho

Rin is considered enough of a liability that she's forced to stay in the dorm building and hand out assignments.

The way the Rebellion works is to become a Squad member, you need to pass a test with a minimum score. You're then put in a Squad with your "rank" of the squad being based on test scores

They have a test of 5 elements.

For example: CGO's squad order is Nene, Toya, Emu, Akito.

Nene had the best score, only really scoring lower on the last part.

Akito and Emu both tied but were less than Touya. Ena only put Emu before Akito because her two of the tests being a little more important.

The tests are:

- Damage Output (DPS)

- Agility

- Stamina

- Stealth

- Interrogation Immunity

The last test is literally they give you info and then you are intensely interrogated by Ena's team about it. The longer it takes to make you crack under the pressure, the higher your score.

And here's a fun fact. Both Emu and Akito tied exactly on that one! Both also have a higher score than even Ena does, and she *runs* the Rebellion!!!

Yes, they can!!

However, unlike if it was a Respawn Pod in their own base, they have to be put in physically. This because they are not linked to the system running the opposing Respawn Pods.

If someone swaps sides, they have to be put in a database for the team their joining and removed from the one their leaving.
