History of Hihi

My mascot has had two designs: Chibi Alien and Scientist.

The alien version was initially meant to be a companion back when I was SlapstickGags. But I never ended up making another Slapstick vid, so she went pretty much unused. It's cute but doesn't exactly reflect my art style.

So I redesigned her into a scientist. I like it a bit more with only a couple grips:

The red palette. Back then, hihi-HEART's primary color was red. I was just resistant to using such a "girly" color.

The hair. It was a cool idea, having the ends go into hearts. But if I were to ever use it for videos, hardly anyone would see them.

For this year Creepie wanted to do things differently, a hole in the ice, fully geared up to dive under the ice she would dive down through the hole and began swimming towards a place she’d decorated beforehand.

Sitting down on a seat that was worked out from a jawbreaker as she looked around smiling behind her regulator, looking at the tree she’d decorated.

This was definitely a unique way to celebrate Christmas considering she’d be under the ice until Sunday, 48 hours under the ice celebrating Christmas.

In the middle of an empty room stood a stasis pod. A stasis pod that had a girl inside of it, wearing a skin tight suit with a sleepy frown on her face. The pod was filled with a fluid that kept the girl in a state of hibernation.

In another room in the same undisclosed location laid another girl who also was wearing a skin tight suit and had her mouth open slightly in a sleepy way. Unlike Creepie however, this girl looked like she was sealed up beneath a plastic film but didn’t appear to be suffocating in her sleep.

The girl was frozen inside the sleeping film that was laid down upon a rubbery inflatable mattress and just like Creepie had been sleeping for 80 years now. Both girls laid in the same abandoned undisclosed location, waiting for somebody to find the ruins and to free them from their never-ending cycle of sleep.

“I don’t know how this happened but somehow my head got jarred? I don’t know where the rest of my body even is right now, probably floating in a vat of liquid nitrogen somewhere?

“My name’s Midnight, as you can see i’m pretty much all about the Gothic look, if you don’t like that at all then chances are we won’t be able to be friends at all.
