     He remembers this place. Vague memories wrought forth overtime, leaving a bitter, unfulfilled feeling for a world so cruelly left behind. The crucible remains held in a tight grip, vision straying towards familiar landscapes, ignoring urges to explore - curiosities towards the possibility of new findings. There was no escaping, as much as an ever overworked and persistent mind cried for otherwise. It’s long after such an unnerving realization sparks that he wills himself to move. Feeling guilt and regret yet swallowed down and left behind in favor of plotting.

     There was a chance for things to be salvaged. A possibility to rescue human-kind before it’s too late. If only he could send a message out...

     A near collision with such a small figure tears him from his thoughts, stepping back to give a wide birth of space between, assessing potential damages caused from his part.

“ My apologies. ” Nothing in need of his immediate attention to be seen, yet he finds himself feeling less concerned (far less than usual) and more... Perplexed? Curious? This city was no stranger to the strange - and still is, it seems. Nevertheless, Samuel stands aside, giving but a brief gesture for the man to carry forth on his merry way.

Very proud of his title, degrees, and job. Will not waste a second in correcting anyone who doesn’t refer to him “properly”.

Everything is business when you’re all work and no play, even small talk.

Is he human?? Is he a divine??? We just don’t know! (at least my dumbass dont yet)

{ I DID IT Y’ALL.... I BEAT DOOM ETERNAL............. Im full of sad 

{ I still have one last lvl to beat in DOOM Eternal (AT LEAST I THINKS) but in the meantime!!! Starter Call!!! Because I am very excite to write this lad again even if I’m scrambling to get all my lore ducks in a row!

     How long has it been since someone overshadowed him? Since he had to look up rather than down? When was the last time he believed in something surreal such as aliens? Little gray or green men always seemed like a made up fantasy just for the sole purpose of making the same cheesy movies for a quick profit. Not that he didn’t believe that aliens weren’t a possibility. Hell had turned out to be something very much real and exploitable, and he had a gut feeling that eventually humanity would come into contact with some sort of extraterrestrial life.

     Who would have thought he’d be the first out of all the UAC employees to run into one. Not only that, but one that outdid him in height.

     For a change, he finds himself staring upwards in wonder and surprise. The last time such a thing happened was during his encounters with the demons of hell; a few had easily outdone him in height and then some, but he’d taken such a thing into account when designing his cybernetic form.

     Now that he’s holding this... Things attention - what does he say? How does he greet it if there’s a very high chance that a language barrier would be between them? He’s gone above and beyond on ensuring that his updated body held a wide variety of languages in order to avoid such an issue, but not once had he considered the potential that he’d meet an alien in his extended lifetime. Well... There’s a first for everything, he supposes.

     What was it about this place that struck such a familiar chord? There were no shops he recognized, no faces, no street names, nothing that could have possibly resembled anything close to his home on Earth. Sure, living most of your end life and then some on Mars and waking up with no recollection of the prior day next to a massive hole might mean something in his systems was amiss, but whatever took place, there would by no means be any way for such an event to erase years worth of memories, right?

     As stressful as the situation was, Samuel had no real reason to let panic take over. Maybe there was some malfunction with the Tether system. That was plausible theory. The UAC Mars station had sustained great damage thanks to Olivia, and without VEGA maintaining it... 

     Samuel stops on a dime at that moment. Not because of the feeling of loss, but because now, after hours of mindless wandering in a vain attempt to gather his thoughts and fiddle with theories, but because the mere sight of this purple man hovering down the streets had struck him with such a strong feeling of deja vu that he simply couldn’t comprehend how he would have met such an ethereal looking man.

     If they’d met before, then he’d have answers. If they hadn’t, then there was still the opportunity to ask questions.

     Carelessly, Samuel begins his slow approach across the road, ignoring the screeching of tires and angry shouts mixed with honking horns. If they hit him, so what? He’ll pay for the damages. The dent of those car hoods would be far worse than what would become of his wealth anyways. Besides, the display must certainly be grabbing this galactic man’s attention even before he gets within a fair distance to kick off the sudden conversation.

“ Forgive me for my sudden intrusion, but I have some questions that need to be answered quickly. ” Slowly, Samuel offers his hand out for a casual, business-like handshake. Typical dull behavior from a man such as himself.
