Cyan :3

I kinda talked about it on the Zam WIP post but I thought of giving them all weapons/armor that you can actually equip in undertale! I was planning on giving them the items that belonged to the soul with their corresponding trait but some of the pairings seemed out of character so I just ended up giving them whatever items fit their character,,,, 

Zam: 

For Zam I went with the burnt pan and the old tutu!! :D

I kinda struggled on picking the weapon for her since she was the first of all the designs I did, but I eventually landed on the burnt pan based off of tf!Zam’s cooking and Zora using a pan as a weapon for most of Decayed and decrepit :) 

I thought the tutu fit her well to especially with the wind theme she’s going for this season of lifesteal, I thought the tutu lent itself to the idea of flowy wind-esque movement :D 

In an actual undertale setting I could also totally see her cooking healing items for her friends too :>

Squiddo:

I thought the faded ribbon and the torn notebook would be a good fit for Squiddo! I was trying to incorporate the colors of their soul traits into their designs while also making sure the vibes of the items fit them which is why I gave her the ribbon, its slightly more pink toned tho cuz I wanted to make sure it fit with the rest of her colors :)

The torn notebook seemed like an obvious choice, it actually kinda bothered me for a while since I don’t wanna limit squiddo’s character to just being an artist, but it does fit her well enough that I decided to keep it,,,, I could definitely see her taking notes/doodling during the worms’ time in the underground :D 

Also I thought of how she would use it as an actual weapon, and the idea of Squiddo straight up throwing it at a monster’s head to defend her friends was really funny >v<

Mapicc:

Since Mapicc already had a bandana it only made sense to give him the manly bandana!! Really lucky that he already had one since it matches up so well with his soul trait too!!!!! :D also the worn dagger just seemed really fitting for him too :> I would’ve given him the knife but that’s a genocide route thing and I doubt that if the worms were together as a group they’d end up doing the geno route :P 

I didn’t really know how to incorporate the soul color into his outfit but I saw how his skin has a gradient on his hoodie and thought i’d give him an orange gradient :D and it ended up fitting really well :>

I love how I ended up doing his eyes too, I wanted to give everyone a different expression (sorta? Idk I really emphasized it with Zam and Mapicc) so i’m really happy with how he came out :D

Reddoons:

I didn’t wanna just make Red a human version of his normal skin, so I based myself more off of the other version of his skin (with the cloak and stuff) Idk if it’s very clear because I kinda wanted to keep the fully red look, but he’s still human just covered with a cloak and mask :) the blue accents were a last minute thing but I really liked them too :D 

I kinda struggled with coming up with items for him, but in the end I went with the tough glove solely based off vibes lol I like the contrast the pink gives with the rest of him :) I couldn’t come up with another item that fit him really well but in the very vague AU I have in my head I imagine he had the bandages that Frisk has by default and he gave them to Ash :D

Ashswag:

Ash still ended up looking pretty similar to his skin but I think the outfit still fits him pretty well :D the only things I changed were making it a little more casual (into a light world susie-type outfit rather than a straight up suit) while adding blue accents for integrity :D 

He has the cloudy glasses and empty gun :DDD the glasses were inspired by him irl while the gun seemed to fit as a weapon he would actually use, also inspired by his plush :3 

I was originally gonna give him two eyes but I thought having the bandages instead of the glitch would be fun so he could keep the half obscured face look while still being realistic as a human thing :D I’d imagine he hurt his eye while on the way down to the underground or in a battle early on and Red gave him the bandages :)))) 

Roshambo:

I had the most trouble with Ro since I don’t watch his lifesteal pov, (THANK YOU ROSHAMBO FANS WHO ANSWERED ON MY ALT WHAT SOUL HE WOULD BE!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹 I am eternally thankful I was actually going insane) but I ended up giving him the heart locket and ballet shoes :D 

The shoes were actually particularly inspired by @a-toffeecat ‘s Ro drawings :D the way they draw him is actually so cool to me ˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶ the little ribbons and bows are so cutie <3 and they fit the design really well!!!! This one lifesteal world drawing they did of Zam and Ro has been rotating in my head for soo long it’s actually so good <3

Adding purple wasn't really an issue since I already use a lot of purples and blues in his design :) The heart locket was a purely vibe-based choice tbh it ended up fitting really well with the design :D

The hair tie is actually supposed to look like a closed hand but idk how well it was communicated through pixel art lol

Despite how much trouble I had his design is actually one of my favs lol (˶>⩊<˶)

Ok so in the process of coming up with the designs I wanted to give them some actual items from the game corresponding to their soul but I realized that most of the items that correspond to the soul’s trait doesn’t really match up to the person I’m drawing,,,

and some of the other items fit really well,,,, so i gave up on having their weapons/armor correspond to their soul rather I just gave them whatever fit them the best as a character :P

For Zam I ended up going with the old tutu and burnt pan :D

The tutu just kinda really fit the vibe her skin has this season, especially with the wind theme, so it felt fitting to give her more flowy clothes / more movement oriented?? sorta stuff,,, yeah :D

And I really couldn’t decide on a good weapon but I ended up going with the pan because it reminded me of TF!Zam’s cooking :) also I thought of it after but also Zora using a pan as a weapon for a while in DaD!!

I debated giving her a skirt or shorts in the main outfit without the tutu, but I ended up going with shorts because it felt like it would be more convenient for moving in battle, and I also just liked how it looked better than how I drew the skirt tbh :3

She doesn’t have her crown unfortunately :( I wanted to incorporate it somehow but I also wanted to keep the design somewhat simple to fit with the game’s environment / make it adaptable into sprite form, I kept the flower she has in her hair from my s8 design but I ditched the crown so the space on her head wasn’t as crowded

I might add it as a patch or embroidery on her shorts tho :D in the actual drawing

Idk if I wanna finish up the drawing version of the design or start on another sprite next tho :P if I do another sprite it’s 100% gonna be Squiddo tho yippee!!!

Also if any Roshambo fans come across this could I please have ur opinions :> ?? What soul would you guys think he would have? :< since he wasn’t in the tierlist

My main pov has been Squiddo for a long while for lifesteal and I only recently started watching Zam as a pov in s7, although I have watched some of her older ls videos for context and such,,,, I don’t really feel like I have a good enough idea of Ro’s character to give him a soul color / trait 😭 I would wanna draw him since he’s part of the team officially now and I’ve been really fond of him especially after ls world but I don’t wanna mischaracterize him :(

Yippee! ! !
