Yes I am a tortured artist, yes I am a masochist, yes I hurt myself. However none of these overlap.

My upper body is covered in scars - self harm? Wrong! My self harm is an unwillingness or inability to have adequate sleep, I don't know which and I can't afford to find out. Masochism? Wrong! I did it to myself, on accident, with an explosion!

Knife scars all over my legs - looks like self harm but actually I'm just really into knife play! Tortured artist? True, but I torture myself psychologically for non-kink reasons, and unrelated to mental illness! You can't pin me down, I'm always dodging! But I am into bondage, so you also can pin me down and then lock me there. Gotta keep on your toes!

im really appreciating the conversations around masc pregnancy as a trans man who wants to be a dad one day, bc unless something changes for me the most efficient and simplest way for me to be a dad is through pregnancy and childbirth. and i want to live in a world where i can freely and safely do this without compromising on my own existence. this does tie in with the conversations about how many trans masculine people with uteruses face the prospect of forced detransition through pregnancy, because ultimately we all have the same need: for pregnancy care (to both continue and end it) to be degendered, for visible pregnancy to not directly equate to femininity, and for ALL pregnant people to be treated with dignity and respect and given as much bodily autonomy as possible.

my notifications are once again devolving into a spirited debate about the ethics of actions that could potentially make someone uncomfortable, and at risk of sounding like someone about to get a lot of irate anons I think we're frankly giving way too to much moral weight to hypothetical discomfort

the thing about discomfort is that it's an extremely nebulous category that can be triggered by virtually anything and that's far too broad a category to have any inherent moral quality to it. like. my mom was mad uncomfortable when I stopped shaving. that didn't mean I was doing violence against my mom it just meant she needed to get over herself. many such cases it must be said.

tired of mlm relationships being boiled down to sex and never given the tender love it deserves y'all have never had the core memory of watching your boyfriend taking a slow sweet drag off your cigarette and realizing in that moment that he is actually the most beautiful thing this earth has to offer and tbh i don't think you deserve to

“Do what makes you happy and comfortable” and “you’re gonna need to take a step/leap out of your comfort zone in order to improve.” Are two thoughts that can exist and coincide with one another.
