basic info that helps show how much of a ‘boyfriend material’ boy that he is:

his name is kang jihoon

he’s from the kingdom of clovers and is a tier 2 prince

he’s a christmas baby about to be 26 in a few months (someone celebrate his birthday with him when the time comes because his parents don’t and you’ll know why very soon!)

he has no desire whatsoever at going for the throne, in fact the only reason why he even has gotten as far as he has is because his parents have been controlling him his whole life and are forcing him to go after the throne.

he has even tried reasoning with them, telling them multiple times over the years that he doesn’t want to be some prince, or possibly king someday, that he just wants to live his life doing what he dreams of. sadly, his parents are greedy and hungry for power and the benefits that come with sitting on the throne and could care less what jihoon wants, resulting in him being nothing more than some ‘puppet’ to them.

really, he doesn’t receive any love from the two yet he still managed to grow up into the fine man that he is today. sweet, caring, giving... basically the perfect ‘boyfriend material’ that others dream of having.

when he’s not being controlled by his parents, jihoon loves racing his horse either on his own or with his friends. it’s his way of relaxing and feeling as if he’s free from the shackles that his parents have on him, even if it is just for a few hours. his only way of feeling some sort of freedom and happiness in his life.

this boy will put others before himself. seriously, he’s even willing to help others go for the throne so that he has even lesser of a chance at getting it. though, apparently he’s one of the most eligible to be next in line and it’s all due to him being unable to really rebel against his parents. so in the end, it seems as if he is actually wanting to compete, but trust me, he doesn’t want any of it.

usually when he’s not taking lessons, jihoon is either out on his horse or even bathing her and brushing her (of course there’s staff members who could easily do this but not only does he enjoy doing this all himself but Yuki doesn’t allow anyone to come near her besides jihoon. they have a special bond). when he’s not doing either of those, you can probably find him under a shaded area alone either enjoying nature or reading.

he isn’t someone who will sit there and voice his own complaints about things, really he’s sort of just given up long ago when he realized that his parents wouldn’t even listen to him, so he mostly keeps his worries to himself but is someone who will listen to others complain for hours and do his best to give advice.

his appearance always seems to be neat, even when he’s been riding Yuki and his hair should be a mess...it stays perfect somehow and it’s a mystery to his friends on how he manages to keep it this way. (i did this because i like messing with my muses so just roll with it.)

really he’s just the sweetest bean ever and one of the few muses that i love so i promise not to hurt him...too much c:

some plot ideas and connections that could possibly happen?:

muse spots jihoon either under a tree reading or in the garden tending to the flowers

muse sees him bathing and brushing Yuki’s mane and approaches him either thinking he’s one of the staff or even knows who he is and asks why he’s doing this himself

maybe some sort of love interest? either it’s unrequited on his part or theirs, or mutual but both just don’t know (would need either a few threads to build up the latter option or some heavy plotting)

muse ends up somehow injured and jihoon happens to be walking by at that moment, stopping to help because he can’t just leave them there to suffer

muse can’t stand jihoon, thinking he really is after the throne despite him telling them that he isn’t, and is determined to find any way to get him to either confess or find evidence that he’s faking it

maybe a sibling that either really wants the throne and can’t stand that jihoon has more of a chance, or even is trying to help him get out of this whole mess that their parents have forced him into all these years

someone please question how his hair always stays so perfect even when it’s not styled. it could be funny.. lol

‣ 2021.10.07 ‣ Spades Columbarium ‣ “Downpour”

seokmin had always found time to visit his late wife, but there was hardly a time when someone actually caught him there. he made sure he was suitable to be seen before turning around to great the foreign prince. “oh, hello jihoon” seokmin greeted calmly. it wasn’t a particular day/time that he would actually want to be seen or ‘bumped’ into. but he couldn’t change it now. by the end of it he would definitely make jihoon swear to silence. he didn’t like others seeing him in the state. even during the funeral he didn’t allow himself tears until he retreated into his courters.

the photo he had had in his hands was the only proof that seokmin had ever smiled in his life. for the majority of the time he remained professional always, but when alone with somin he was always happy, and smiling. before you could at least detect joy in his eyes, ever since her death there was hardly any joy in his eyes tracible. “yeah, everything ok.” incorrect. everything was not ok. and he didn’t know if it ever would be. even if time went on, he knew his life would never be the same as it used to be. “what brings you to the spades kingdom?” seokmin questioned walking towards the other male shoving his hands into his pockets and his facial expressions neutral as ever, the only trace that anything was wrong was the tiny bit of pink in the knight’s eyes.

even though the older male claims to be okay, jihoon can pick up on even the slightest bit of emotion from others and judging by what he had just witnessed he would say that there was definitely something wrong, though despite being observant of how others feel he doesn’t want to push any further. he can tell that seokmin doesn’t want to speak about whatever is bothering him and he respects that. instead, jihoon offers the other a gentle smile. “oh, i was sent here by my parents to run an errand.” he states, using his fingers to brush a few stray strands of his hair to the side. “i just finished and decided to take a little bit of a walk before i head back.”

jihoon had been visiting the spades kingdom due to his parents’ request to run some errand for them, or rather to make an appearance and ‘gain favor’ of those who could possibly prove to be of some help with him gaining the throne, which he could care less about but they wouldn’t listen to his reasonings that he had tried over and over again to explain to them. the whole thing was really a headache to him, especially since he just would rather do what he wanted instead of fighting over something that seemed to be making a lot of others go crazy over.

after running the errand he had come to take care of, jihoon found himself wondering around aimlessly, letting out a small sigh as he smiles to himself. the spades kingdom was definitely a lot different than the clovers kingdom, sometimes jihoon even wished that he could live here rather than where he was now.
