His shadow is the only thing that gets close enough to touch her while Simon stands a few feet away, eyes inquisitive yet somehow cold. Without movement from him, there is a gentle tap on the shoulder, a silent urge to get the witch's attention.
He had been listening to the whispers of the voices caught between the veils of this world and next. Simon had gotten very good and hiding, that was why he had survived so long. So the fact that he even trusted her though to show himself was something special. The darkness that kept him safe pooled invisibly around him, urging everyone but Ciara to refuse looking at him - those that did would forget him the moment they looked away or blinked.

He is standing in the parking lot in the middle of the night, his slight frame hardly lit up by the light of a streetlamp as he waits. Simon could have already met the person he is waiting for, someone who is supposed to understand others like him, but he wouldn’t have made a good impression simply showing up inside a place he had not been welcomed into. He has learned his lesson from the times before that he had imposed on others privacy.
When he sees the last of those filtering out of the bar he perks up, eyes peering to see if he can find the face he is looking for. The shadows hug is form, leaving his shape wavering like a mirage in the distance, fleeting and easy to miss.
This is scene caught me by surprise, and I had chills the first time you are introduced to Simon. I freaking love it.
