Why is it that my last story of a miracle is over 10 years ago?

Do I pray as desperately as I used to?

Do I go out and take steps of faith as I used to?

Was I just crazy back then?

I've always liked this song, but it became a favorite when I found out that a couple verses was inspired by Psalm 46. Psalm 46 came up in something I was reading last night. Listening to this again this morning... still so good.

I still remember the day a friend brought up in conversation how “Israel” means “wrestles with God” in contrast to “Islam” which means “submission to God.” The friend wasn’t religious and he thought it was kinda interesting how these two major world religions* contrasted in this way.

Meanwhile, my mind was totally blown. I wanted my relationship with God and Christ to be obedient and orderly and controlled... but tbh I related so much more to the wrestling.

I got baptized today 15 years ago. Five more years and I would have known You for half my life. Happy 15th! I cannot wait for the day where I would have known You for MORE than half my life... then MOSTLY all my life... and then in FOREVER in ETERNITY for all of life. Pretty sure that there will be more wrestling, especially in my insecurities, but You’ll never let go. Thankful for Your wild love.
